One more thing marvolo1, im not agruing with you by the way lol, but im sure rivers wasn't the first person to have a build up in a song, i think it was done long before "only in dreams" :)

I appreciate that you're trying to appease rivers with his favourite song writing tools, but this does sound a bit 'weezer by numbers'... for instance, stealing the 'only dreams' build-up and sticking it at the start aswell as the breakdown sounds great, but a bit unoriginal. only my 2cents anyways, what do i know :P

it's cool i understand what your saying. I wouldn't say im trying to appease Rivers but rather myself. I've been a weezer fan since they began, im 29 now, and after pinkerton they were down and out and on the brink of breaking up. But, it was the fans of pinkerton and blue, like myself and thousands more, that stuck with them and encouraged then to come back. Even when the charts said that pinkerton was a "flop" we fing loved it. So im trying to hear that sound again, so i tried to create it.

Hey man I really dig the song. Just one suggestion - after the intro and the verse music kicks in you should start the vocals right away rather than playing the progression once through first. It just sounds like vocals are missing from that part. Rock on!
