  • Metal8... Yes in many ways I am rich, all while having little cash in my pocket :). I am rich with people who love me.

  • you rich aren't you?

  • There called horn worms usually go away in the second season

  • wow i love your garden so pretty i love the fact you live next to the forest :)

  • Gorgeous!

  • I hope mine looks like that one day. Just started my first garden 2 days ago.

  • @rfl133 Best wishes on your garden, once you start it is addictive! Good luck!! :)

  • @MyLittleGreenThumb thanks! we are excited!

  • to fix your worm problem, you could use Azamax. i had catepillars eating my kale and sprayed some of the product and now my plants have a chance. it OMRI too. good luck with your new garden.

  • @mreisma Is this the biological stuff? Might look into that or possibly the netting to place over so the butterflies can not lay their eggs. Thanks for the help.

  • @MyLittleGreenThumb azamax is a type of special neem concentrate u mix with water and spray your plants every 1-2 weeks. but yah netting is ideal.

  • you can stop the worm problem by mixing a little water and soap and put it on the plants

    hope this helps

  • 5:57 Colorado potato beetle or Cucumber beetle

  • Very pretty! Veggies look great! I mix in flowers with my raised beds too. Not only because its pretty but because it attracts those beneficial insects. Not sure if you can grow Alyssum , but it smells so nice and it attracts hoverflies (a really good beneficial insect) and others. I really like how you put those little white picket fences in your bed. :-)

  • super awesome! you are inspiring me to get one going. Im thinking of planting one food plant at every frinds house. like wherever i go. hw fun. blessings!

  • @ladygaia What an incredible idea, spreading sustainability...awesome!

  • Your garden is amazing!!

    I love it.

    What a blessing..

    What state are you in?

Thanks for checking out my garden also.

  • Thank you very much, I'm in Vermont.

  • I had those cabbage worms one year too. I just picked them off and tossed them to the chickens. The cabbages were just as good as unblemished ones. Sorry about your japanese beetles. Those can really chow down on a garden. But actually, I think you have some pretty good results in your garden even with the heavy rains, low sunlight and insect problems and deer. You did a great job videoing it too. Very clear and good focus! I enjoyed it. :)

  • I love your little orange tomato cages. Where did you get those? And yep, Japanese Beetles suck. I manage to keep most of them squished so they don't do too much damage here. Wow, a great looking HD video for your first time out!!!

  • I forgot to mention, I'm pretty sure the beetle you wanted identified is a striped cucumber beetle.

  • thanks so much, I had never seen them before now.

  • Gardeners supply company, they are a little on the pricey side but well worth the money, very sturdy! They also sell extensions to go on top which I may purchase next season.

  • Thanks for the info. They must be out of them right now though because I just checked their website and didn't see any. I guess they're popular and sold out. I looked in their section called "Plant Supports". Yep, it does seem like most of their stuff is a tad on the expensive side. I'll probably wind up making whatever I need next year out of some fencing.

  • Very nice Garden!
