so if your index finger doesn't reach the 7th fret with the ring finger down on 3 strings.... what do you do? I've tried using my little finger and that didn't feel right.

i think you lessons are awesome. I do think though, in order for guitarist to go to the next level they need to understand timing. Not just patterns or feel. But how the notes fit in the measures. i wish more lessons would include this. In a 16th note notation of the timing. If one is to strum in a constant 16th note rhythm they could nail the correct timing to any song. So, placing not patterns but the actual timing of the rhythm makes so much more sense.

@VanHalenlvr2012 Dude you don't need to play with a capo, just learn the song without one, there are very few songs were you use a capo to match the low root of the main chord in the song, you can basicly learn almost any other song then this without a capo...
