The major major difference folks between Today & this songs era -1996-1997 is that if a "lady gaga" came out & hit the charts she would be gone by the next year or even a few months!.. plenty of great music was overlapping itself in all genres in the 90's. Now with the pickings so slim casual radio listeners are clinging on to whatever they can to make their day feel sane, with all the anti-depressants out i'm not suprised at the dumbing down quality & passive society, wake up ppl!

It wasn't so much who the lead singer for this band, I think that misses the point. What made It great was this late 90's "era" vibe/production.. the type of sound that was going around especially in trip-hop as It was constantly being innovative. 90's had a vibe just like every other decade.. this decade has absolutely no identity.. The biggest bands now like Radiohead are even producing average albums there's no "Ok Computer", album format is dead whats left, revolutionary itune singles!? lol

Look, I liked the Sneaker Pimps of Kelli years, but Chris's voice has something in it...like he's really feeling every single lyric he's singing. I believe him when he sings. And his voice screams passion/sex.

Personally I'm happy he moved on to IAMX because the Kelli/Chris comparison war was tiresome. All I ask is that you (anybody) take a listen to something like 'This Will Make You Love Again' and tell me you still prefer Kelli's comparatively average voice and presence.

Anyways, I love this song. This has got to be my favorite tune from these guys, and yes, it's a shame they had to disband. I never fancied the later Sneaker Pimps without Kelli, I agree, the band with her was on a whole different level. As much writing or creation as Chris did, the band wouldn't of had their moment in fame had it not been for Kelli. Sorry but it's true.

I don't know... I try to listen to her, but she sounds completely dry to me. Her vocals are sweet, but not special. Won't deny that 6Underground/Walk the rain/SpinSpinSugar are amazing, but she doesn't have any charisma or energy at all. Chris delivers that in EVERY single way. The only reason the band didn't make it with Chris is that when he sings, it's not background music anymore. People had Kelli up the charts because she had a radio-friendly voice. People would jizz every time Chris sings.

And well, in a way Kelli should be happy they let her go, because now she has a solo career and can work independetly and follow her own vision. And if you tell me "Kelli's solo work isn't so good." then obviously she would have never been popular without the people in Sneaker Pimps who actually wrote the music.

Kelli's good, but if she's THAT good, then why hasn't her solo career taken off? SHE complimented the band (very well), but they're good w/o her too. if you listen to the music just because she's sexy (which I'm not denying, just stating) then maybe you should just be listening to pop.
