I love Deus Ex as well, but it strikes me as infuriatingly inconsistent that people have a hilariously narrow field of view, and yet cameras seem able to spot you from a mile away the instant you expose an inch of flesh. Ah, well.

I acknowledge that any project as insanely ambitious as Deus Ex was quite inevitably going to end up a bit lop-sided, and I'm able to enjoy the game despite these flaws just like TB is, but they're still flaws that I feel justified in mentioning. Also, the Thief games are even older and yet the AI is still able to hunt you down somewhat intelligently, so I don't think the age is the problem so much as Ion Storm's ambition. Gotta give 'em that.
@Tryzon It really comes down to personal choice on the Thief mentioning. Personally, I felt the AI was a bit stupid. Not to say it was flat out idiotic, but rather just "Where'd he go....*stops right in front of where I'm hiding* *walks away*", so yeah. AI back then was really not the strong point of any game. The only one I can think of is System Shock 2, and even then the AI was a bit dumb.

@Thesurge747 I'm 14 and I recently finished the game. I wanted to finish it before I bought Human Revolution. Trust me, it's a very good game. Very interesting story line with controversy and conspiracy. It took me 26 hours to beat but it was damn well worth it.

rifles = win when choosing skills, main reason being with 4 ranks in the sniper rifle will take out secuity cameras with one shot and you can fit it with a silencer too and then they will never trouble you again, 'pfft' no more camera and noone is the wiser :D
I slightly disagree. Swimming can be helpful for checking things out underwater, but it should certainly not be a focused skill. I mainly just use swimming for that one part to get the shotgun, and for naval approaches to missions. But other then that, yeah, it's pretty useless.

Okay, sorry for trying to put some effort into making a half decent comment. I wasn't saying age makes you smart either, I was just saying that for the usual gamer of my age would be playing CoD. Halo, Gears, etc and instead I was playing a game most 14 year olds knew nothing about whatsoever. I was partly curious if there were others doing the same thing also. So, I removed my old comment. Really need to play this game. Probably won't work on this netbook lol but as soon as I get my new PC Going to play this and then the new one. In my opinion the best game of all time. Or games.. you really can't play one you have to play the full series. Anyway MGS is probably my favourite series of anything ever, I wonder how TB feels about those games, if he's ever played them.

I just played this game for about 4 hours without noticing... I love going back and playing some "Good Ol' Games" as I wasn't old enough to play these when I was a kid, as I'm only 13. Anyway, time well spent.
