Maybe the song is used in masonic rituals. @deinonychai is right the original song is romanian , i myself am romanian and did some research on it and it seems the song is pretty old ( a few houndred years at least ) . I myself heard the original live and it's pretty impressive , maybe in a actual ritual when singed live and backwards the infrasound may affect the brain in some way to help activate a certain gland in our brain (research pineal gland ).

When sung forwards, the first priest is apparently saying: "God said to the disciples: `A new commandment I give to you,'" while the second priest is apparently saying "we pray for the mercy, the life, the peace, the health, the salvation, the scrutiny, for diligence and the forgiveness of the sins of God's servants, worshipers, missionaries, and stewards in this holy place."

@ZamolxesWolf .... i think the romanian language is very cool and since it sound pretty much like latin, that's why Hollywood uses it. if you ever heard Enigma , the muisc of Michael Cretu who is romanian sounds pretty cool because it has that misterious dark ambient that sounds like this music. i think that Romania is a cool place and you shouldn't worry about what Hollywood thinks about it.
