I like Guitarist that are technically savy but still play with feelings John 5 has a great mix of both, and unlike alot of instrumental only artists his Bridges don't sound dated
i love john 5 cuz he is talented and he sober not 1 of those guys who is highh every time he writes a song and something good comes out of a bunch of random songs he wrote
lol WOW MAN!!! Eric Johnson's solo kicks ass!!!! You can easily tell when he's playing aswell!! Not because John5 is bad or anything, but because of his unique soloing style

I think he has good technique, but the thing I dont like about john 5 is how "composed" he is - there is zero improvisation - and I judge musicians on how they improvise. And its a bit of a solid-state sounding tone too.
lol, it is solid state distortion........i think he was using the blood drive pedal at this time(i could be severely mistaken by this as well) but i do know he's on line 6 stuff......so yeah it's all solid state
yeah it would have been good if requiem couldve had eric johnson or joe satriani, someone along those lines, it wouldve made the album a little more exicting, but having said that it is still a good album

@ibanezbloke I judge musicians on how well they plan and not how they make stuff up as they go along.

John 5 is really good... some parts of the song with the way he plays reminds me of Nottingham Lace by Buckethead.

Eric Johnson's Legato technique is absolutely ridiculous =O
How the fuck dose he do that kind of stuff?!
I wish requiem had more guests. I don't think there were any famous guest guitar parts on it.
