Dude u did the m&m's experiment wrong. In the commercial they put the m&m's between to soles not one sole and a hard surface. Get it right if ur going to recreate the demo!!
Everyone who saids this guy bitches to much... Stfu! its a review, your suppose to point the negatives and positive not bias like you guys are being right now
ok dude in the commercial they folded the sheet so that th M&Ms were complaetely coverd with impact gel, and plus that sheet wasnt so thick like u said 2 or 3 in',
Wow, you expect everything to be COMPLETELY perfect, also do you expect someone smashing on your heels with a hammer and you having M&M's near the place where he smashes the hammer? I don't think so. You're a bitch.
You complain about how THIN the material is, and then you expect it to have the EXACT SAME results of the material they used? they demonstrated that the MATERIAL absorbs shock, not that the insoles are meant to withstand blows from a hammer. Will that ever happen to your heels?
The shipping is understandable. It seems to be a very popular buy, so of course they need time to get to everyone. You wouldn't want to be charged before its even shipped out do you
Also, you hit it with the head of the hammer. Its more of a concentrated area of impact. More PSI then hitting it with the whole flat side, like they do in the commercial. You also hit it 1-2 times more then the commercial.
Alright. first off if you wanted the whole thing to be gel it'd be sticky, it would melt over time and ruin your shoe, and it would have sink holes eventually. the reason why they only put little in those two places is because most people only put pressure there. and the gel isn't to absorb the impact, its to spread it out over an area. research before you bitch
your supposed to have the m&ms surrounded by impact gel. the impact gel should have been on top and on the bottom of the candies. U need to make better observations before u try to test these types of things.
Hopefully they make an elite version that's like the original in the commercial and sell it for a higher price, I think I would buy that in a heart beat.
Well since most of the people here dont understand the basic shape of the foot let me explain why there is so little impact gel, The Impact gel is only on the heels and Balls of the feet due to the fact that THOSE ARE THE ONLY PARTS OF YOUR FOOT THAT TOUCH THE SHOE. . the side of your foot touches the floor as well but it hardly takes any of your weight anyway. Thats the only reason that theres so little impact gel. its no conspiracy and no ones being greedy. Its just based on Necessity
There only a very tiny amount of impact gel on the heels and the balls of the feet. The amount of impact gel in these 2 places needs to increase. It's very, very thin. Regarding feet touching the floor... yes this makes sense and is a great point. What about when you jump and land?
Well understand that I have completely flat feet, so my entire foot needs to be protected. It's weird when I can buy a Dr. Scholls for the same price at CVS and the entire insole is gel, not just the ball and heel like these.
It seems like a cool product, but like the reviewer said there is very little gel in the insoles themselves and it's mostly just a thin foam, that's not enough if you ask me, $20 or not.
I would be much more intrigued if the entire thing was a big, gel insole.
...After seeing how little actual gel is in the sole and it's mostly foam, I will definitely NOT purchase this and it will most likely provide very little comfort for my feet. It's a shame because this was one of the few As Seen on TV products I was actually considering purchasing, but like all TV products the actual product is vastly inferior to the demonstrations.
Thanks again for this review, saved me $30. It seems you are mostly paying for a thin, foam insole rather than the gel product.
I'd save your money, go to the store, and pick out an insole with "gel." It's not $30 you saved $40. It's $20 shipping on a $20 order. You pay separate shipping on each pair of insoles... even though they are shipped in the same envelope.
Thank you for this review, I had to have surgeries on both my feet and was considering purchasing this to help ease the pain of recovery because it still hurts alot to do any real walking or exercise and my feet basically kill me all the time.
I have steel custom orthopedic soles for my shoes but they are extremely rigid and are more for shaping the arch in your foot(since I have flat feet) rather than impact absorption.
Glad I could help in some way.. yes, the insoles are slightly expensive in my opinion $20 + $20 shipping, but I'd still give them an 8 after wearing them for a couple months. Pain in my feet has gone down at least for me.
if you saw the fist version it looked so much better than the pair they are selling( I saw it on pitchman) it had thicker gel and and the gel was placed along the outer side of the insoles. the problem was that he wanted to sell them for fifty, sixty dollars. they had to make a cheaper version and that is the one you have right know. in the demonstration were he has that sheet of impact gel and hits his hand, that sheet cost $160. This stuff isn't cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok just something i noticed. in the infommercial they used the gel on both sides of the M&Ms unlike your test of gel and table. now if you try an insole on both sides it might work
9mins of this guy bitchin about insoles - get a life or go buy sorbothanes

Can't believe it takes a ten minute video to show the test, and for you to give your opinion.

@9malls well, i saw that commercial. the impact gel layer was the same thickness as the layer on the insoles.
