  • Hi Almartino i would like to know if you can take maybe 15min for record a video for tutorial ocarina I Folletti di Cetrella a lot of peaple would like this :) . Its kinda hard to follow you on the video its fast ! i know you are surely busy but you will mkae a lot peaple happy! Thank you

  • This is why I will buy your ocarina

  • amazingly played :)

  • so wonderful! could you let me know what ocarina is it and where should i buy? thanks!

  • @tn38122

in this video I play a Polycarbonate Ocarina Key of C by Mountains Ocarina you can buy directly from their website.

  • oh and one other thing im sorry but on the sheet music it says the E is for 12 hole ocarinas but this is a 9 hole but has the range of a 10 hole how do you play it??? because of you i have brought into great consideration of getting a mountain ocarina!

  • @rexlink1

sorry, on the sheet music is written a wrong information:

Correct information is: Ocarina C 9 holes

  • ok i have a question how on earth do people dislike this??????!!!!!!

  • dude your amazing i think your an official Ocarina prodigy and looks like you know how to play other instruments too! this song is an inspiration and i hope one day i can learn it once i get my Mountain ocarina i have other ocarinas but not a mountain ocarina yet check out my vids i make clay ocarinas and play some songs so yah:)

  • Meraviglioso!!! La tua musica è bellissima davvero tanti complimenti!!!

  • I don't suppose anyone has tabs for this. Sheet music is beyond my ability...

  • Amazing! Simply put, AMAZING!

  • sei troppo forte complimenti

  • can i download this?! PLEASE!

  • i gotta tell ya.. i just got interrested in ocarinas when i heard this :D

  • I have to buy one of these! They seem so relaxing and productive! And their portable! How much do they normally cost?

  • just bought an ocarina hope i get to play like you someday ... great song

  • Wow. You are amazing. So amazing in fact, that I have just subscribed. <3

  • wow

  • Flutter tounging on ocarina, I have never heard anything so sexy.

  • Sure am still interested. Just recently came into a sum of cash and have some to spare. I intend on buying one of these. Thanks for filling me in, i appreciate it.

  • @sniperthebox No problem, just keep in mind that it takes a while to get used to it so you get your best sound out of it. Trust me, when you're first starting out, the sound might not do much to influence your belief that the ocarina is anymore than a toy. Stick with it for a while, practice, and swing by the MO forums and The Ocarina Network forums for tips and songs and you'll start to sound a lot better. And if you just can't get into it, you can get a full refund for up to a year.

  • @sniperthebox I'd recommend getting the G & C bundle, myself. The C has a more mellow sound but is harder to play because it needs precise breath control than the G. The G is higher and has a more stable sound, and since they share the same fingering I prefer to practice on the G when I'm first getting used to a song.

  • Amazing! You my friend, are one of, if not the best ocarina player I've ever seen. I hope I will be able to play as well as you some day. :)

  • What a pleasure to hear!

    Great playing. =)

  • ok, this is the best thing i've heard! EVER! is there a way i can get an mp3 of this so i can have it on my itunes play list? do you have any CDs i could buy?

  • WOW SO NICE!!

  • Amazing. This has to be some of the best Ocarina playing I've ever heard.

  • I am a musician who takes music very seriously and i honestly used to think that the ocarina was nothing more than a toy. You have inspired me to learn to play the ocarina. I took a look and there are a LOT of different types of ocarinas on the market. Could you make a suggestion? I'm looking in the price range of 20-80 bucks. Something for a beginner but that i wouldnt need to upgrade too soon. Thanks in advance. Oh and that performance was beautiful!

  • @sniperthebox Not sure if you're still looking, but the ocarina played in this video was a polycarbonate C by Mountain Ocarinas. It's $25 or $45 for the C and G models together. They are very quality, durable instruments, suitable for beginners and as the video shows, advanced players as well. There's also a lifetime guarantee that in the unlikely chance you damaged your ocarina, it will be replaced free of charge.

  • hey man you´re awesome, i'v been searching for people playing a non video game or anime song on ocarina, and this is so difficult to find...tell me, it more easy to play on a STL design or on a Montain ? sorry my inglish, im from Brasil .

  • @bbspolidoro

Hi, the Mountain and STL ocarinas they are + or - similar,

    change the hands positions.

The Mountains Ocarina is very close to Recorder flute.

Thanks for interest in my music!!!

    Al

  • was that last part in the sheet music, or was that just awesome improv?

  • You definitely should have won first place at the STL. Beautiful sound and technique!

    Ottimo Lavoro!

  • my alto sax and i are hedin off to our anual contes with this song. YAY!!

  • how would someone from Canada get your cds

  • so awesome! i just bought my first ocarina from ebay (it hasn't arrived yet). i reckon it'll be easy to play, since i've played the recorder for a few years... we'll see :D i really want to learn this song :D ur really good!!!

  • @cactuss11 If you have played the recorder it will certainly help it did for me. I hope to see you up there with the greats.

  • Wow this is great! People say your Italian is that true? I ask because you are the Leonardo of the ocarina.

  • @DACnumber1

    yes, I'm Italian.

    Thanks!!!

    Al

  • @almartinocapri I think all of that fits perfectly. Italy has been known to produce really good artists. You are truly an artist.

  • Thank you so much for posting sheet music. It's so hard to find great music like this composed for Ocarina. I love all your music, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

  • Everytime I hear this song I just wish I could play it on my ocarina.

It's an amazing, song. It makes me feel like living life in a positive way, and getting things done. The drums, the orchestra, all too well done.

Even after so long. I wish more songs could have this style type.

  • u did awesome bro and like 8 days after u got it dude ur raw i look up to u now

  • I just learned this :)

  • Ma..........rather than a flute, to me, seems ocarina.......comunque veramente una sublime composizione di suoni, tanti complimenti

  • I just got my polycarbonate in c yesterday and i have a lot of musical background so hopefully i can learn to play this only problem is i can't move my fingers as fast as you and can't read the notes cause i am more of an ear player but if i listen to this enough i can get all the tones and pitches then it's a matter of time :) i hope to be able to play this soon

  • Beautiful song! You got a new fan. However, would you mind telling me what "Cetrella" is. My Italian is horrible and I was sent to a restaurant page when trying to google it. (By the way, I'm trying to play "Il Folletti.." using my soprano recorder.) Tiago (Pará, Brazil)

  • @videVIDEOinfra

    Hi,

Cetrella is a place of Solaro Mountain on my island.

Soprano recorder is a wonderfull instrument, my first version of " I folletti di Cetrella" I have played with it.

    Thanks

    Al

  • @almartinocapri

Gorgeous place. Just saw it at naviquan dot com.

  • did someone play the instruments on the backtrack or did you use a computer?

  • @Galagalaki

no other musicians in this backtrack, I have arranged and recorded with computer: sequencer and various virtual instruments.

  • Hey Devin I don't know if you found out or not but you can easily buy that same ocarina for 25$ at mountainocarinas(dot)com and it comes with fingering charts to get started =)

  • hi i just love the sound of this instrument n i really want to learn how to play it but i have no idea where to get one but for sure this is going to be the first song i would learn.

  • This song really is epic. Totally blows away what I thought an ocarina could do, those quick notes are like laughter in music form. I just ordered the same ocarina played here, can't wait for it to get here.

  • you...are....AMAZING!!! I LOVE ALL YOUR MUSIC!!!

  • Which one do you prefer more, your MO Polycarbonate C or your STL Soprano?

  • Excuse me, Mr. Almartino. Would you be as kind as to tell me whether all of the song is included in the sheet music provided in the link? I've been trying to play your song (which i LOVE) and starting at minute 2:01 through minute 2:20 it would seem that part is not in the sheet music. Also, it means that all F's (Fa) are sharp(#), right? not just the second octave one. Thank you and congratulations I LOVE all of your videos. I am now a fan of yours.

  • @kieeld

    Hi,

the sheet music is a basic melodic line, in the second part of the video I play improvised variations.

    Yes, all F are sharp!

    Thanks!!!

    Al

  • this is really amzing!!!! wow!!

  • I am so learning this song!

  • Beautiful, this vid sold me on the Ocarina.

  • Awesome. :-)

    Really impressive performance.

  • hey by the way what ocarina is he using

  • Comment removed

  • @sugart

It's a key of C ocarina from Mountain Ocarinas. Check em out online. I have one of their key of G ocarinas and they are great :)

  • C Ocarina in Polycarbonate from Mountain Ocarinas.

  • its called an inline, or mountain ocarina. personally i love their design

  • don't know how to explain this but this song opened my eyes

  • awesome as always Al!

  • @PrDrMrmanSir you cant call him al faggot

  • Wonderful!

  • This song is inspiring, in a way that I can not describe to anyone but myself. Brilliantly done.

  • Somehow this makes me want to play Suikoden II again.

  • Cool. I didn't know that Orlando Bloom was a musician.

  • Gah! I lold. xD

  • Man, you have to do mas songs in ocarina, are very good at her!!!

  • Awesome song!

I tried to download it from NowDownloadAll,

    but no luck.

    *sigh*

    Still, it's a wonderful song

and I congratulate you for it!

  • A truly inspiring performance :)

  • Do you have a video teaching us how to play this? this is amazing!

  • this song alone has made me make up my mind to pick up music again. I began playing in first grade and played classical music up until eleventh. I mastered the lower brass and percussion instruments early but I let it all go thinking my parents were just annoying cause i wanted to play basketball. Your beautiful music has inspired me to start back. And i truely believe i will be working to master the ocarina. Thank you for this video

  • very well, good musical study with your ocarina!!!

  • wow! awesome! I suck on my 6-hole pendant ocarina, haha, someday I will be like you! :P

  • Atmosfere d'altri tempi,complimenti maestro

  • STL Ocarina has a more clear sound from Mountain Ocarina (in Almartino's act. Not generally) but the song with Mountain Ocarina has a better sound... It fits more than the soprano STL!

    Nice job!

  • Do you have any CDs for sale?

  • Sweeps you away ^-^

  • I agree that was great

  • Great work!

I really like the part from: 1:57

  • This is why Italians rock

  • u should definitely play the ocarina more.

  • I'd really like to get a mp3 of this song.

It really calmes me down when I listen it.

If you don't feel like putting it on-line, just send it to me.

    I won't re-send it to anybody.

    BEAUTIFULL.

    Keep it up.

  • I had no idea Ocarina was a real instrument! Clearly, in the right hands, it is.

  • Can I have the sheet music for it?

  • i played this song. check out my channel and my vids. i only have a few ocarina vids cuz i made my account a couple days ago.

  • Did he transport to a different screen?

  • how many holes is that ?

  • 10 holes (8 in front and 2 rear)

  • are u sure about that? i have the same one and mine has seven on the front and two on the back. Unless your counting the fipple hole. then it has eight on the front

  • ooh yes, sorry, I have confused with Ocarina G,

The Ocarina C have 7 holes on front and 2 on back.

  • where can i get tabs? and how much?

  • OMG! AMMMMMMMMMAZING! I have and ocarina, and I want to get this one. It sounds like my C Native American Flute, but with a larger range.

  • where did you get that sick Ocarina from?

  • mountain ocarinas

  • simply superb, near the end you start to sound like a sax, and that was awesome too

  • Awesome O_o

  • Your talent is amazing!

    So beautiful to listen to!!!

Thankyou for sharing your gift :)

  • You seriously blow my mind with your awesomeness! I love this, I especially love it when you use your purple clay soprano as well! :)

  • what a hit!!!

could I get the sheet music?

  • When I first heard of polycarbonate Ocarinas I thought like "made of plastic or what? Must have baaaad quality!" but then I clicked on this video and... wow. I'm gonna get me one!!

  • Thanks Almartino for emailing the sheet music. Sounds great on my Mountain Ocarinas and also on tin whistles (which also enable you to play the high G!). Was interested to read you first played in on a recorder, must try that next!

  • He killed that ocarina

  • I would like the sheetmusic to this. Its really awesome!

  • HI,

for sheet music send me your email address!

    Thanks!

    Al

  • 5/5 Awesome! I want one!

  • totally awsome ... :D 5 star

  • it says on the mountain ocarina website that this guy had only played the ocarina for 8 days prior to making this video.

  • Well can't doubt that. This guy has had plenty of experience with other instruments for 30 years. And I'm sure all these instruments are more difficult than the ocarina. It's a pretty easy instrument to learn. :)

  • fucking awesome

    dude you totally rock

  • I liked it at 3:01

  • Jeez; that's beautiful.

I'd love to learn to play ocarinas but I'm so terrible with music =P

  • Great reverb. Are you playing a plastic ocarina? Ottimo riverbazione. Suoni un ocarinadi plastico o legno? Fabbricato da chi?

  • Its polycarbonate, so sorta plasic...

  • omg this song is so dang GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ciao e Grazie a te!!!

    Al

  • Do you know where I can get sheet music for this? I will try to do it on a transverse ocarina

  • for sheet music send me your email address!!!

  • Hello again, where is this song from?

  • Hi,

this song is my composition and come from my cd "Nei Cieli della storia".

In the original version I play a recorder flute.

    Thanks!

    Grazie!

    Al

  • dude you're way to awesome!

  • Wow...best preformance I've ever heard on an ocarina before. I didn't even know they were capable of rolling the note like you did at the end! Is there a trick to it, or is it lots of practice? Watching amazing stuff like this is making it so agonizing to wait for my ocarina...seriously, it's torture. XD

  • is it possible to do this on a 12 hole transverse ocarina?

  • well they are both linear... so if you can scan each of his fingerings, you can then compare that to the ocarinas linear pattern. It sounds hard, but its a bit easy.

  • yes. it's possible, probably you must change key tune.

  • hey thanks for the sheets man!

  • parabéns pelo som!

  • hi, me again :) i managed to get the polycarbonates in C and G, and i got ur sheet music, and i must say, its taken me a month to get it to sound a tenth of what you did in 8 days!!! thats amazing!!! thanks a thousand for the sheets :)

  • thanks for the sheets :) now i have another question...

where can i get a recording of the accompaniment?

  • were did you get sheets? i'm gonna get one pretty soon

  • Hi,

for sheet music send me your email address!!!

Thanks for interest in my music!

    Al

  • Very Very Awesome playing

Ocarina is the only instrument i play

and u have mastered it beautifully

Much props on to u dude

  • Beast!!!!!

  • You look like Captain Hook.

  • WOW! its going onto my favraites!

  • BTW...I love the part from 1:00-1:35!!! Simple AMAZING.

  • Everyone tells you that if you want to get a mountain ocarina that they recomend the higher-key of G one...but this song is beautiful and it was definitelly played on the lower-key of C. I like the lower sound more. The higher is better for some songs tho. I love ocarinas tho regardless. :)

  • AMAZING! I love this truly a piece of art.

  • altogether an emotionally moving and inspirational piece, played by someone who really knows how to get the most out of the ocarina's sound.

  • this music video is just so awesome. i love this kind of music. what other kinds of flutes have you played before?

  • Hi ManasesHB,

I have played: Bansuri, Dizi, Hulusi, Duduk, Tin and low Whistle, Recorder, Shakuhachi, Quena.

    Thanks!!!

    Al

  • Ive read that the Recorder and the ocarinas are some what the same in the way you have to play them, is that true?

  • yes, in the frist octave the fingering is similar.

    ciao

    Al

  • i haven't played a recorder in over ten thousand years, but yes, they are somewhat similar in playing technique. if you can play a recorder, you can play an ocarina.

  • i would like to see you playing hulusi and dizi please

  • Well played , sounds awsome , so for th sheet music i just send my mail to you?

  • Hi IzzetOfGod,

yes, for sheet music send me your email.

    Thanks!

    Al

  • wow you're really good! Where can I get the sheet music?

  • Hi darvoz,

for sheet music send me your email.

    Thanks!

    Al

  • I love the part at 00:54!

  • Wow, so, yesterday, I was trying to decide between buying a mountain ocarina and a C whistle... then I watched this, and was like "Yeah, I need to try this instrument now."

  • Sounds awesome
