@bigmatt9494 While you are correct that this song was on the album "Rough Mix" by Pete Townshend and Ronnie Lane, all my research indicates that Pete was the writer of this song.
@F3FisGoodforYou, download his album 'Lifehouse Chronicles'. You'll love it. It took some time for me too to appreciate him, but he has been my favorite musician since.
@theslipknotfan111 So Pete can play "Goin' Mobile" and songs like this one. The "difficulties" are either anatomic or lack of practice. If you are having "difficulties", keep at it and as soon as your fingers go where they should without conscious thought, those "difficulties" will disappear. It took me awhile, but songs like this are inspirational to keep practicing.
@theslipknotfan111 good ears on you to notice that. i've read that pete says he hates when the strings are low and easy to play, he likes to fight for them.
Who writes about the human condition better than Pete? If this song doesn't make your heart ache, you better check your pulse. I have never understood why he doesn't get his full due as a guitarist either. Brilliant.
The Who will always be the prototype of what a good rock n roll band is all about, and let's say Pete Townshend has a lot to do with that. Truly beautiful!
"Who heaven" indeed!.
