Dont expect professional results from idrum!! When you render the drum sounds they sound low and thin. Even if you have the best samples like battery 3 drum kits. Str8 garbage. And Ive contacted them about this they did nothing on the new update. your better off with FL studio.
@SIGNATURESOUNDZ Render? well if it plays them at a reasonable quality when making the beat then you can print it on an audio track in your DAW. If you are looking for professional results I'm not sure what you would be renedering, that sounds like it would lose quality because it probably renders it to a lower bit or sample rate.
It would be so much more useful if the window expanded to FULL SCREEN. Please activate the GREEN button. It's useless as it is in such a small window. HATE that! : )
that's not true. There is pitch, attack, release and filter control , part change for every instrument plus midi assign. Maybe you just haven't learned how to use it...
and it's stable slaving to any sequencer host! Grant it Superior Drummer is far better, but it doesn't suck or is not lame as you say it is!
I shouldn't have to open a crappy little inspector window every time I want to change something. They spent time making the main interface nice, but left out all the other controls needed on the main interface. And btw I don't see a control for attack, just decay. Filter is ok, but EQ would be better.
oh, so you found the release button? That's good! How about pitch? You find that yet? Attack is in the same window as all of those okay? Why not tell iZotope your ideas for user improvement? True, it takes some getting used to, but it is a far cry from what you said it was and what was lacking.
to alter pitch select the track you want to alter, then click the 'i' this will open a dialogue box for altering pitch, bit resolution and EQ even envelope decay.. so now you can... you need to read the manual before you slate it.. as this has to be one of the BEST apps for the mac.. i say this as i have used soooo many drum machines over the last 30 years and this is the best computer based one ever..for the price.
.pitch, decay, high and low pass are all on the info menu..and if you can't figure out eq, and release from that you are a moron..on that note, why do you want attack anyway? ..just cut the sample or something..anyhow, not that I care, oh..and I just noticed someone replied the next post down, but also you should try the skins factory skins also..that will change what you think about it..that is, if you want a beat machine at all, doesn't seem like you do
can you plug in a electric drum set in your mac like a roland hd-1, could you use the sounds on idrum and swicth them with the ones on the hd-1, like the snare
@slayerbbk hey man thats what i need it for hahah. i am using ez drummer since i cant record my real drummer. with this i can actually upload my drummers toms and kicks..
@slayerbbk If you want to make any kind of metal or rock sound like it has actual acoustic drums (or the closest to it you can without a real drummer), you'll want something like EZDrummer, Reason Drumkits 2, or Eastwest Quantum Leap Ministry Of Rock
hmm... this just hasn't sold it to me. Just getting my first mac for home recording, looking at some cheap options, but guess the only way to go is to buy an electric kit or EzDrummer / DFH.
@izotopeinc is this software good for metal?????????????????

@Rawgreen you could actually export each sound individually and then place them on separate mixer channels in your daw of choice!
BuildABergGroup 4 months ago
It's like a simplified version of the FL Studio default pattern editor with some more advanced swing controls and patterns.
Hmm, I do like it, but I know if I bought it I would take all the sounds out of it and use it as a base to learn from without actually using it.
Mainly because as I see it I wouldn't be able to put each sound of the drums into it's own mixer channel.
Big no-no for the studio.
I still like looking at your products though :)

Crappy interface in the standalone version. Did you ever see Web 2.0, iPad or garageband interfaces?

Kind of lame, and primitive. If you have something like reason or live, this is sort of a step back.

It's isn't 'techno crap' ! It's whatever you program your MIDI and FX to be...if you were intelligent enough that is!
