Kasaragod people will prefer it to be Kasaragod not "Kasargod". Only people from south of Kerala state will say it as Kasargod (Kasarkod etc). Many Malayalam movies, has dialogues wherein a politician or a senior cop threatens his subordinate saying "I will transfer you to Kasaragod", well, that syas it all.

Friend..Its not only ur Kasragod's problem. Its the problem of all Northern districts of Kerala. Over time all politicians used to neglect northern Kerala. U can see the lack of popularity in places/(congress politicians) from Calicut to Kasaragod than that to the south side. That makes all the problem. Its not because u are speaking kannada. This may be, u r still revolting rather than uniting after about 40 years of state reformation.

There is no revolution here, everyone knows the reality that Kasaragod will remain a part of Kerala for a long time or forever, but a Kannada speaking person will not tolerate any attempt to eradicate Kannada from Kasaragod. But, Govt. makes sure all the employees are from south, all forms are in Malayalam, so when a Kannada person goes to Govt. office imagine the plight.
