  • For years I thought that this song was by the temptation. How wrong I was. I am so happy to see you guys back together again, looking Fabulous. God Bless the Legenary group, "The Artistic".

  • Excellent

  • Execlent

  • This artist just recently retired from his job and like his song says I am gonna miss him or should I say I am gonna miss you

  • Very underated group....awesome song !!

  • Two months later....Loving it even more....Also full of sweet soul vibrant energizing upbeat tenderness!

  • Don't get much better than this

  • I just did a DJ gig last Saturday night (July 18, 2009) and when I played "I'm Gonna Miss You", the dance-floor filled immediately. The song is timeless! And to hear it remixed, with exciting, new instrumental and vocal tracks on top of the original track...well, it simply sent chills down my spine. Such a clever blend of old & new. Wish I'd had this one last Saturday night. I adore the original, but this one has real balls!!! Thanks IanLevine, for posting this. It really made my day!!!!

  • I adore this song and only wish this pure heart stirring music was around now.I hate the untalented, cold heartless and souless and insulting stuff I hear. God bless this great music and the artists who sang it.Thank you for this post.

  • This song dates back to the year I graduated from H.S. and my older sister would let us dance at her house, This was one of her favorite tunes. This isn't quite the originaly which was recorded in 1966 but this is awesome. At least the past entertainers will leave us far more than the so-call 'performers' of today. They are pitiful and really believe they're doing something. Today's music will not be remembered and cherished like the past, Peace.

  • These CATs are old but I still luv 'em, still can sing...go 'head on fellas !!!

Thank U for this video !!!!

  • wow! a long time since I have heard this gem. Some good playing time in Philly, but gone too soon. Thanks, IanLevine!

  • gained a bit of air play when released i was in borstal at the time when it came on the radio i can still see myself dancing down the corridoor with my mop with all my mates joining in i did miss my soul music.

    cheers ian

  • fantastic tune !! :)

  • I haven't heard this beautiful piece of ear candy since I was in high school back in the 60s. Thanks for posting it, Ian, as well as for the other great music you have made available to those of us who really appreciate what you do!

  • You're the same age as I. I was a senior in high school when this 'dropped' so to speak. My older sister had all the jams and we'd go over to her house to jam off of this and others. This isn't the original, however, and his voice is not as refined as it had been but it's still very good. Check out "Hey Girl I need You" by them. I was the only one that even commented on it. Have a nice day oldiesfan52

  • Dont forget "The Chase Is On". I saw these guys many times live at the Apollo. One show featured The Unificis, The Artistics, Mad Lads, Jive Five and James Brown...what a show.

  • are any of these artists alive, dosent this song make your heart beat faster

  • Ian! Where do you get all of this fabulous music? (Especially the Motown stuff!) Bless you for posting it.

  • We filmed ALL of them ourselves.

  • i had forgotten about this. absolute classic played at cleethorpes. pure soul

  • Another question..Did the remake of "I Want You To Make My Life Over" ever release??

  • Hey Guys..Good to see you on here..I met you guys about 15 years ago at your home for rehearsal..Where is Larry Blasingame..??

  • superb song from wonderful nights at the torch

  • another classic i remember from cleethorpes. thanks for the wonderful memories

  • this song is really from back in the day, many nice memories.........

  • The greatest recording of a song ever! Mastery...symphonic mastery!

  • Very nicely done guys.

  • Two and a half minutes of symphonic mastery. Probably the greatest record ever made.

  • The sixties were the greatest.

  • Smoooooth Soul! Fantastic!!

  • A classic......AWESOME SONG !!!!!!!

  • They still sound great!

  • I had forgotten about these brothers they still sound good

  • IF THIS AINT IT NOTHIN IS

  • this reminds me of the torch and how old i am

  • Yikes!! This one makes me feel long in the tooth. One of the bravest things I ever did was to wear a gaudy colored velour with two other band members and sing this song in my back then quite unrefined falsetto. But what else could we do, we loved the song. Thanks for posting this.

  • A song like this is the reason I have satellite radio: you NEVER hear this on regular radio today. What a great song. Were the Artistics a one-hit wonder?

  • No. "Hope We Have" was also massive. Plus "The Chase Is On", "Glad I Met You", "This Heart Of Mine", and all of Marvin Smith's solo stuff, especially "Have More Time".

  • Thanks for this song, but can you also download "I WANT YOU TO MAKE MY LIFE OVER"? I can't find that one anywhere. :-(

  • There was also, "Hey Girl, I Need You," a big hit in Philly...

  • Brilliant song.Brings back so many memories. Thanks for posting it.

  • This was my absolute favorite "Beach Song"...I used to drive one of the local djs at Myrtle Beach crazy asking him to play it for me! A classic! Tina Eaton Blackwell, Columbia, S.C.

  • This was a classic song we would skate to.

  • What memories, as a 16 year old and being dumped by Stuart Hacking at Blackburn Mecca! Where are you now?

  • So totally sixties!

  • It was also a beach music hit.

  • One of my favorites from when I was in high school, thanks for the memory.

  • Sounds of yesterday , with meaning and clean , I certainly miss this sound of yesterday when artist had a theme and not all this rap and vulgarity ! Old School will sentimenal nut !

  • this is a classic i used to listen to this at the youth club i was 11 years old now i am 50 its still great.

  • i soo remember this song!!! i thought it was the temps though, and eddie kendricks singin' lead!!

  • AWESOME SONG........LOVE IT !!!!!!!

  • The Artistics are big favorite among Philadelphia oldie fans as well. Another Philly favorite is "Hey Girl, I Need You." Great stuff.

  • Growing up in the shadow of Phildelphia (listening to legendary DJs like Hy Lit and Jerry Blavat), I heard this song a lot, and have never tired of it. Another big Philly favorite was "Hey Girl I Need You." (Hope I got the title right)

  • Jim,

You are so right...The Artistics came to the Uptown and Wagner's Ballroom...

If you remember Hy Lit...listen to Our Winter Love...it was Hy's sign off every night...

  • I had a girls group in the 60's and that was one of my best,I was Lead singer,Gary,In 1965-1967.JoStewart win a lot of talent shows.

  • THE ARTISTICS sare tec

  • My local disco always finished with this!Usually with the boy of my dreams dancing to it with someone else!! Hey Ho!! Nothings changed! xx

  • Nice!!!

Still looking for a copy of The Artistics 'This Heart Of Mine' though - anyone help???

  • This was the music and messages that brought us through the hard times.

  • Shame they didn't do more like this... It is considered a Carolina Beach Music classic... They were smooth... If you can't move to this... Nothing will make you move.

  • Thanks for this never thought id ever hear it again. Superb!!!

  • Love this song....sounds like Carolina Beach music....

  • Such a great song. I have the album on Brunswick, amazing.

  • I wish there were more fourteen year olds who had such amazing taste.
