  • Beck is a corporate shill for Fox News

  • Go ahead and name call, but he is hitting the nail on the head and he backs everything up with facts. All the progressives and liberal media can do is name call and throw out empty ACCUSATIONS with no facts to back it up.

  • @haynever - glenn beck does not know the meaning of the word "fact". He spouts utter nonsense and is a fool.

  • @suzukibeane - OK, give an example of nonsense.

  • @wdkhukefue And whose shill are you?

  • i would bring a red flag or a ussr flag for lolz? i would probably get my ass beat by abunch of idiotic conservatives

  • Now thats where your wrong. The progressives are the hateful violent type (ELF, Weather underground ect. ect.) You only see good red blooded Americans on this clip.

  • Check out our best conservititive on utube:

Ronald Reagon - We the people

  • @Aprilmax010 You mean "Reagan," I believe, who, by the way, ran up unprecedented budget deficits in his time. Trying turning off Glenn Beck and reading a book. Start with US history.

  • @LawdHelp You haven't heard the real history because they have already rewritten it. I am over 60 and it had already been rewritten then! Go to Charlotte Iserbyt: The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America. Also Check out The John Birch Society. They were smeared by the media who was already bought and paid for in the early 1900's. They were anti-communists yet the media portrayed THEM as communist subversive. This is what I was told in 9th gr. civics in 1964!

  • @LawdHelp I have read some history, but their is always more that I could read. However, you seem totally unaware of Obama's (and his adviceers) adgenda which is socialism. So should I suggest that you read up on socialism!

  • A 'Teabagging' party?? LOLOLOL

I always knew Republicans were closet faggots. :p

Seriously of all names you could call this protest, you had to name it after a sex act that involves licking balls. Fucking homo repubs. lol

  • Are you really that retarded. Really? Its a Tea Party, Not a Tea bagging. If you had any sense of history, or if you had any sense, you would be completely embarrased at how stupid you make yourself sound. Oh I Forgot, Thisis an anyonomous post so nobody can actually confiront you and cal you stupid to your face so your safe. Great.

  • Exactly.."jdubs" is a Typical liberal pansy that couldnt say jack shit to anyones face in real life.

Not a drop of testosterone among them.

  • ohh thats awesome!! I heard there was 500,000, a million, and 1.7 million. LOL either way theres alot of people there, for a good cause. CNN cant ignore this forever. I wish i couldve been there.

  • Very nice coverage of the event! Great Job Covering it! Check mine out, too! Put 'The Patriot Counter Offensive' in the search engine and go!

  • Jeff foxworthy's tailgate pre show party? noooo!

  • Glenn Beck's little Army of Retards.

  • shit there's so many black people there!

    /sarcasm

  • yeah let's use our own money to protest in favor of higher insurance premiums from insurance companies that would just as soon push us out on the street and take our last dime!

  • All methods of calculation including the one the Parks and Recreation dept uses has the crowd well over 1.2 million.

You can see the timelapsed photos of the march here on Youtube.

  • Bullshit bro. Call the Park Service. D.C. Fire estimated 70k. 1 million people would stretch to 14th st. The standing crowd stopped at 3rd street.

I don't even care about the politics. I'm just sick of everyone keeping misinformation out there. The standing crowd took up the whole west Capital lawn, which ends at 3rd street.

  • The timelapse video with the flag at half staff? There was no reason for the flag to be at half staff on that Saturday so it was taken at some other time. The video is real. Just not from that day!

  • Snicki1946 The Memorial for 911 was the day before so there was a reason for it to be at half staff!! Just watch MSNBC's coverage of that day, they have the same sky view! It is just not in high speed! lol!!

  • The flags were half staff on 11-Sep-09, they didn't leave them that way on 12-Sep-09. There would be no reason to carry it over to the next day. 9/12 has no significance.

The rule: "Patriot Day, September 11th (sunrise to sunset)"

  • Snicki1946

I am sorry you think that because on Sept 12th many people were still in mourning! Anyways watch the MSNBC coverage from that day! It is in real time and the flag is waving in the wind at half staff!!

  • Yeah the DC Police and Fire dept do not give crowd estimates.

  • Yeah they do. They have to keep estimates for any large gathering b/c of the fire hazard. Its the excuse they use to require registering for a marching permit.

  • Ah, shit, let's drink to something else. Let's drink to fucking. Yeah, say, "Here's to your fuck, Frank."

  • All right. Let's hit the fuckin' road, we're givin' our neighbor a joy ride. Let's get on with it.

  • 12 seconds in the video.....

there is your proof that the Mall was not 2 million...

Look at the green grass.....and then further down the Mall you see white tents...which were for a childrens event on The Mall.

  • what your seeing is only about half. they also were still down Pennsylvania avenue .. actually had to stop there for a while cause we ran out of room then they moved us into the mall and we still almost took all of that up

  • I live in D.C., and while 60-70k is a lot of people, it's really not anything out of the norm for a large protest.

To all the people that think the media is biased for not doing more than showing a few clips on evening news, keep in the anti-war protests from 2004-on, doubled this, exceeding 120k, and there wasn't even a mention, let alone images on the news. The media just cares about drama and political cat fights, not citizen activism.

  • You are crazy! They were expecting 300,000 and it turned out to be over 1.5 million at least! Even one of the speakers said that it was over 1.5 million! So shut up u stupid left sided Liberal!

  • hahaha, get out of here man. I live in and grew up in this city. When protests hit 1 million, downtown is SHUTDOWN. They estimated 60-70k and that sounds about right. The Park Service will release the bird's eye pics and a close count can be made.

Seriously, this is a tiny city. When 1 mill protest, downtown stops. This was so light, that my Dad didn't even mention it, or anything about the MEtro/subway being busy.

  • Hey you liberal fuck wad, we did shutdown the downtown.

  • Dude, don't lie. I am all for protest. I hate seeing tourists flood the city, but love when the streets close for real protest.

Go look at the Park Service images, the standing crowd was from the Capital to 3rd street. the Inauguration was 1.8 mill and the largest in D.C. history. That was from the Capital to behind Lincoln + side streets. The downtown was shut down.

I live here, I know dude. The Capital lawn is huge (ends at 3rd st), but you couldn't fit 1 million there if you stacked 4 high.

  • So, after months of free advertising on Fox News, only 70,000 people showed up? That's pretty pathetic.

  • I was there and it was AWESOME! Thank you great American patriots for showing up!!! May God bless America.

  • Thanks for documenting this. I wish I had walked around in the crowd more than I didi.

  • this is what's sad. Not even 1/2 of those numbers of hippies showed up in the 60's and they were pasted on every TV screen in America. Forced a nation in the wrong direction. Yet when we the people show up, not one reporter. The media is dead folks. Keep up the faith and the fight.

  • I know you're just gonna flame back at me, but as a D.C. resident who sees big crowds a lot, I'm gonna tell ya that even the anti-war protests of a few years ago were bigger than this. From what I hear, this was advertised on Fox heavily. Those war protests hardly even got mentioned on MSNBC/CNN. There was some dumb celebrity shit going on if I remember right.

  • 500,000 to 800,000 people? Seriously. And that's only in DC. Not to mention the ones across the country. Estimated at a total of over 2 million. You may want to check your math.

  • those numbers are also the exact estimation from another DC resident, I am not sure, I wasn't there. Although I was at another one. Nation wide, I guarantee, it shamed both the war protesters and the hippies.

Just because not everyone was in DC doesn't mean the others do not count. Thanks for putting up with them, I am sure it won't be last time you see them.

  • It was not that much. If you look at google maps, you cna see where 3rd street is, the crowd thinned out on the other side of it. Promise Keepers were here in late 90s/200s estimate 700-800k, and they went all the way back to Wash Memorial. Check the pics & compare. Although admirable, this protest was under 100k in D.C.

If you were to count the other war protests that same day it would exceed the us-wide 912 protest

"exact estimation" is an oxymoron. Besides, see D.C. Fire or NPS for stats.

  • I was there. God Bless America

  • w00t 2.1 million we made a world record

  • Where did you get that ridiculous figure from? It was only 70,000 people at most.

  • well they announced it from the microphone and they had more than one helicopter report in with estimations of 1.5 to 2 million

  • The figure they announced from the mic was an erroneous figure they claimed to get from ABC, which ABC denies. The Fire Dept. said 70,000.

  • The "fire dept" said no such thing. Neither the DC fire or police provide crowd estimates.

  • D.C. Fire said 60,000-70,000k why don't you search the ABC article that cited them. People are fully number out of their asses on this, and not doing a little google search before making declarations. Look at the Promise Keepers pics (700k-800k) vs this.

NPS does the ariel crowd counts, but D.C. Fire do on-the-ground counts (not really as official, the ariel photos are the record.) Fire does a count b/c they have to be aware of obvious fire hazard and accessibility.

  • university of Illinois did an aerial count and is estimating 1.7 million... .

  • Glenn Beck said it was "University of-- something or other"

No university made that projection. I'm a long-time D.C. resident, was here for the 1.8 mill at Inauguration and can tell you, the city did not shut down as it did for that. Go to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight statistics site for a good post about this. Honestly, It's a worthy read.

  • or you can read Gormogons for another collection of views.

    The Mall was packed.

  • UK reported 2 million and ABC website reported 1.5 million. You liberal fucks are scared. We are not a sleep anymore. We are taking over in 2010 and NO you aren't getting "free healthcare". get off your ass and buy your own insurance.

  • ABC was misquoted by FreedomWorks. If you'll do some light research, you'll find that I'm right on that one.

Also, the UK report you are referring to is erroneous.

D.C. Fire Dept. is reporting 70,000.

After months of free advertising on Fox News, 70,000 is a pathetic turnout.

  • danillum,

I was actually there. If you think 70,000 is even close you obviously were not there.

Check out time lapse of 9/12 here on YouTube (and that's just the spillover from the mall).

  • If you think it's more than 70,000 than you don't have a clue as to what else was going on in D.C. on Saturday.

There was another rally called The Black Family Reunion that was on the National Mall.

The 912 rally only extended from the Capitol to 3rd street.

  • Make sure to mention to him that this is called the Chocolate City and they have the reunion here for a reason.

Plus, there was another festival in Adam's Morgan, it was definitely a heavy Metro-use weekend.

  • I grew up in this city and live here. I guarantee you the number didn't break 200k simply because there weren't many ppl past 3rd street. The D.C. Fire estimate of 70k sounds right (if a little low)

    Honestly.

The time lapse is impressive, but remember that those are narrow streets compared to the Mall's width. which is like 10+ of those streets. Once a crowd leaves the street and hits the mall, it bunches down, like this one, where the crowd thinned out at 3rd street (near Capital pool).
