  • How long can you store the mousse in the frig? Can I make it ahead a few days then fill the cake later?

  • @sirensmyst Hi yes you can make the mousse ahead and fill the cakes later. I prefer to use it right away when it is soft and then let it firm up inside the cakes, but have used it after it firms up as well.

  • Your so welcome! Enjoy:-)

  • Very nice!!! I will surely use this recipe :-) thanks for sharing.

  • Hey loralie, I m gonna give it a try this week, can I use the mousse to cover a cake as well? If so should I keep it refrigerated at all times? This will be my first at using any type of mousse!

    Thanks!

  • @mommyssweetlife Yes you cn and yes you need to refrigerate it at all times. Let me know how it tuns out.

  • @weddingcakesforyou Okie dokie thanks for all your help. I will let u know!

  • you wont get sick eating the raw eggs?

  • @Cristylive Hi I have never had a problem with getting sick from eating this chocolate mousse recipe. I always use fresh eggs that have been stored properly in the fridge. You can opt out of the egg yolks though if you are uncomfortable with it. I have made this recipe with just the whites. It is not quite as rich and delicious but still good. Also the cake must be refrigerated well after filling the cake .

  • @weddingcakesforyou thanks so much! i found another favorite on youtube. : )

  • @Cristylive you can only get sick if you eat the egg yolks but the egg whites are fine

  • It is!!!REALLY good!!!!

  • this looks yummy
