The only difference between them and a typical commercial act is the fact Pantera was heavy, and their lyrics advocated mindless violence, which attracted a lot of knuckle-dragging apes. Pantera-style groove metal is nothing more than mediocre, slowed-down, dumbed-down Thrash Metal rejects.

Hell, the fact that they started out, at first, trying to be nothing more than a generic Glam Metal band should tell you something about 'em.
