You can not release him back into the wild as he will not survive. In most areas around the world these guys are pests so instead of killing them people keep them as pets. It would be cruel to put them back into the wild.
@fiengerlol I don't know where you're from, but hedgehogs are very popular pets in America. They are domesticated, just like any other pet. All animals came from the wild at some point. Hamsters, dogs, cats, horses, mice, rats.... the list goes on. Vlad here is just another American Hedgehog, and just like many other pets, they need a bath when they get dirty. It would be cruel not to bathe a pet. If it's dirty, there's a risk for skin infections or other diseases from bacteria.
You need to clean hedgehogs in like half an inch of water with gentle antibacterial solution in the water or else they can develop fungus in their spikes, etc.

You can not release him back into the wild as he will not survive. In most areas around the world these guys are pests so instead of killing them people keep them as pets. It would be cruel to put them back into the wild.

@fiengerlol I don't know where you're from, but hedgehogs are very popular pets in America. They are domesticated, just like any other pet. All animals came from the wild at some point. Hamsters, dogs, cats, horses, mice, rats.... the list goes on. Vlad here is just another American Hedgehog, and just like many other pets, they need a bath when they get dirty. It would be cruel not to bathe a pet. If it's dirty, there's a risk for skin infections or other diseases from bacteria.
