Check the tires. I had the same issue on my Corolla, above 65 mph, it would shake. The inside sidewalls of one of my drive tires were cracked(core showing.)
I see you have tattoos, probably have hidden kilos of crack in the tire. That doesn't help either.
I test drove a '09 Tacoma and it was a piece of crap (steering wheel shudder and soft brakes) not to mention way overpriced. Went and bought a Ranger and I've been happy ever since, not a single problem to date. Personally I think a consumer should be able to return a car if it developes more than one problem in the first year (or if the dealer doesn't fix it right the first try).
I worked as a tech for general motors in the early 2000's and thought they made great cars when I first started out as an apprentice. Then i ended up getting laid off about a month after i got my mechanic license, and worked for 1 year at Honda, and the past 7 years for Nissan.Since working on these car i will never even consider suggesting someone buy one, the quality the of parts and marksmanship is so below par it is disgusting, The technology we have out there also isnt getting used by gm
i ad bought one of these and i actually loved the thing it was one of the best cars i ad ever owned and was amzing on gas never failed me and gave great power when need and handled the road like a dream it was a 2010 bought at the end of 09 and i loved it all the way until my dealer bought it back and now i have the malibu
Toyota has this problem with the electric power steering in many of thier new cars, gm bought this from toyota and as many toyota owners are learining it was a mistake.
Its an electronic power steering problem. New cars, even non GM ones, have this technology. Its supposed to save fuel. You can buy a car with good old hydrolic steering and that would be more reliable. You don't have to buy an import, buy something from Chrysler and Ford if you don't like it. Besides its a HHR, one of the worst cars made by an american company. Upgrade to something else if you can.
Ok lets start off with this. My father has had his HHR for about 3 years now and has not had a single problem with his. Its called maintenance, all cars have to have it, even crappy imports. Second, if you do buy imports where does YOUR hard earned money go? Over seas. So before you go blaming GM for a building a "crappy car" how about taking good care of it yourself. Also, think before you go and send your dollars off to Japan or Korea for some cheap import and improving their economy.
@kmcdonnell10 buying a domestic car does not mean the parts are American made ether, GM used Japanese components in some of their products. they are all made from global components. its like saying that I should buy a Chevrolet prizm over a toyota corolla even though both cars have only minor differences. look at the equinox the 04 to 09 models 3.4 L LNJ V6 engines that are made in China!
I own 2009 HHR SS. It has 22500 miles Total cost to own for 3 years- $150 (plus 1000 in state tabs). That includes oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin air filter. Never a hiccup. I ran it on what ever fuel is available , including up to 50 % E85. I am sorry that you got a lemon.
I'm not certain but that looks exactly like what i had going on with a Toyota i had several years back. It would start vibrating at random intervals while driving down the road. It was the steering gear/box.
Regardless i see you posted this video a couple years back so i imagine the problem was taken care of by now.
Get a FORD car, they are as good as Imports, but cost less and you keep your money home. FORD is now one of the best vehicles on the road. But as for GM, fuck it. They still build shit.
This is why you buy a warranty with vehicles.

@98770 The 02-05 Saturn Vue V6 uses a 3.5l J35 engine out of a Honda van! lol

Also, technically the HHR is a import as it is built in Mexico. Same thing with the PT Cruiser. Bet the salesman didnt point that out.
Buy a Toyota or Honda built in the USA.
