@norbu1987 I've never had any problems with these.... and I use them every day.  They don't wear or break over time, in my experiences. I currently have the Bose In Ear Mobile set that I got for $129 in June of 2010.

I got a pair yesterday from HMV for £69.99 . I expected them to be amazing, it turns out that my £34.99 sennheisersi had were much better. Bass range pretty much non existent, I listen to DNB, Dubstep , Jungle ect. I returned them and after 45 mins arguing with the manager got a refund and got the Sony MDREX500,s for £49.99, there amazing Deep bass and superb range for less. I know the Bose are quite an entry level set but for £69.99 I was expecting my eyeball to rattle.

James, I noticed your headphones had the Bose label on the digital circuitry thing on both sides, this could potentially mean that these could be fake. have a look at the videos on youtube which identify the differences between the fakes and the real thing, if they are fake, return them and make sure they give you the real product. If the Bose label on the carry case is not centered this could also mean they are fake. I might be wrong, but i thought i better let you know just incase :)

Don't buy Bose, by audiophile quality, they're godawful compared to much cheaper options. Want a good sound cancelling option that produces sound quality so good that you'll never want the things out of your ears? Go Etymotic, the ER4P's are only £50 more expensive, but my god, there is no competition at all, you'll listen to your Bose ones and wonder why they sound so bad.

i have the 1st generation that has a different jack configuration. after three years the wire finally frraid out so they replaced them with no problem with the newer version. you can tell the difference btween the first and second generation by the wire. the 1st generations wire is all solid black whereas the newer ones are spiral black and white. if you're going to get earphones make them bose. they last longer--and sound better.

I bought those headphones today, I did not like them at all. I have to turn my ipod 3g volume all the way up to hear anything. They are very comfortable, and the sound is good, but the volume issue is the only thing i did not like.

these things are amazing. ive had my 1st generation since about 2006 and they work great. the sound quality is perfect. becareful about the tips they are pricey if u loose the. over the years i spent about $90 to replace them.

Something to note when deciding to buy these is that they have a lifespan of roughly 1 year before they break (ive had 2 pair and both broke in just under a year)

@Nebraskahusker23 Ihad the Klipsch s4's.I took them back and got the Bose because they are built better than the Klipsch and way more comfortable.the cord on the Klipsch is paper thin compared to the bose.Sound quality is a mater of opinion but the Bose has a nice full range sound to them.I think they sound a little better than the Klipsch.Unless you spend $300.00 on a pair of shures the others sound flat.Just my opinion.

I was disappointed... I found out only after I purchased a surround sound system, a noise canceling headphone and a in ear headset. Thats like $1200.

Then I tried Yamaha studio quality monitors for surround sound and Sony studio headphones for portable devices. They FAR better then Bose. Sound quality is much more realistic !!

Just try out professional studio quality Yamaha and Sony products before buying consumer level Bose products. No one in a professional recording studio uses Bose.

don't get either the shure's or the bose ... the shure 110's don't have enough bass, and the bose have overpowering bass that makes the highs and mids sound flat... the shure does have much more detail than the bose, i suggest that if you're going to invest in 100 dllr. buds go with the klipsch image s4 they are incredible for 80 bucks or 100 bucks for de S4i (comes with control and mic for the ipod/iphone) i've owned all three of the mentioned buds .. the klipsch are by far the best!

I'm the guy with broken bose in ear and i just called bose last week, and all i can say is that they have a very good customer service and i'm very happy with that.

BTW im about to get a new in ear from bose for free!! they just ask me to send my broken bose as they ask and now im just waiting for my new bose in ear. way to go bose!!
