  • This an absolutely awesome technique! I just found my rub on stuff, and was wondering what I can do with it, and you given me one way! The effect is so neat! I can't wait to try it! I don't have real chipboard, but I do have something similar so I'll try that.

Do you have any other ideas that I can use the rub on stuff? (Sorry, I can't remember the name!)

    Thanks so much for sharing!

    Hugs,

    Susi

  • @susi1662 You can use it to add color to just about anything...specially on vintage inspired projects---boxes, frames, canvas etc.

  • @1sunflowermel You are very welcome :o)

  • Very cool technique. Do you think glossy accents would give the same results as the scotch glue?

  • @jerilynnlee Yes it will. Just about any clear glue will give you the texture :o) TFW

  • Super cool, love the look!

  • @LadybugStampingSpot It's super fun to make too!

  • Wow... I love the way this works! and the look is awesome! Thank you for sharing. ~Ashley~

  • @CraftsbyKawaiiSaru Thanks so much for watching Ashley :o)

  • Very cool. If I don't use the heat gun and just let it dry on it's own, will it keep the shiny smooth look to it?

  • @adshaw32 It will definitely dry smooth. What makes the texture is the heat from the heat gun :o) Thanks for watching!

  • @Estamperlyn Thanks so much for watching :o)

  • OOOH I'm going to try this! The only clear glue i have is glossy accents and sewtac, I think it would look great if it air dried too!! TFS♥

  • @cynthialoowho Glad you will try it. If you let it air dry, it will dry as a smooth surface. It's a different look for sure, but still really nice. When you make something, please show us :o). I'd like to see the technique on one of your projects :o)

  • cool technique. can you use normal ink....like the one for your pen? or just alchool ink?

  • Great tut! I'm positive that I've seen this technique before but I don't remember it looking so cool. It must be the way you do it. I have some Aleene's clear gel glue & of course more alcohol inks than any one person will ever need. I even have all of those rub n buff's. That never happens to me. I usually end up having to buy something. I hope I have the time to try it out this weekend with my key or hinge dies. Love it! JIL
