I stand... alone, amidst chaos and confusion.

My only companion, a ball of fur, sleeps by my side, guarding my spiritual energies.

I slowly drift into unconsciousness, trusting, believing, that perhaps tomorrow things will be different... or at least better... for some.

I hope no child dies for lack of food, malnutrition, lack of medicine...

But I ask myself what have I done to prevent such calamities?

I am weak. I don't deserve these gifts. I am not pure enough.
