I couldn't agree more. I actually found him racing along a corridor after the show and followed him into a booth, asked him to sign my book only to be told ' I'm sorry, I'm actually looking for someone right now'. The little rat took off, did a u-turn at the stage door where about 30 of us waited outside and he was not to be seen again. Not the usual obliging Dawkins. I'm going to attend mass for a week to teach him a lesson!
Nice book, but hey, there are tons of this kind of material for home schoolers in any public library. This one stands completely out to what he usually writes. - Why now???
If you are a noob to Sciences and Evolution per se, then I'm sure you will have enjoyed the show. I was there and as a scientist myself I really didn't felt targeted. Has Prof. Dawkins suddenly turned shy on the crowd? First 20 minutes late to begin with, no book-signing + no Q&As with us ordinary people who paid good money for the tickets - I must say I felt a little disappointed travelling all the way back to Land's End...not the kinda Dawkins I had expected.
@TroyReener Dawkins has explained exactly why he does not want to debate Craig in the Guardian newspaper. Just read the article online. He's debated craetionists in the past so to insinuate that he's running scared of Craig doesn't make any sense.
@TroyReener The reason Dawkins doesn't debate WLC is the same reason he doesn't debate w/ ANY apologist- he'd rather have a discussion w/ HONEST Christians and Muslims. Secondly, Dawkins HAS been in a debate w/ WLC but he was not alone- it's frustrating to see how many people have been living under a rock.
Thankfully I got my God Delusion and Magic of Reality signed in Kentucky. And a picture. Sorry you all couldn't do the same!
