Why are so many Native American songs so soothing? I've had the hardest day in my life in the longest time today, started searching for Native American music and listening and have quickly calmed down. Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm glad you like it :) I'm Oglala/Mnikowoju Lakota and thought this was a great song that was created in my culture :) I love my Lakota language as well. My dad is a fluent speaker and helped me figure out these lyrics :) I translated them into English and put them on the video after each slide with the Lakota lyrics :)

@meadowlark93 This song is so beautiful. One of my roommates is full blood Lakota, her father is from Oglala but he was sent away. She know's this much, however she doesn't know much about her people and it breaks my hart to know this. I'm going to have her listen to this, maybe she'll get interested in learning more about her people.
