The keyboard playing dude now works in our office in Birmingham. We knew he had a hidden background, but he always told us he was in 'engineering'..... Yeah, right. I could always tell from the way he wears his Farah's that he was something big in the 80's.
I'm trying to identify the synths. The one on the left is an Oberheim 4-voice, I believe. The one on the right - is that a Korg 3000 series? It's an unusual one.
Hi Robert!! I admire your talent on this timeless song. Was Geoffrey Downes the guy on the keyboards?? And is there some midi file of the song on the net?? Thanx, I invite you to see my instrumental videos.
wowow Jesus i can believe it!! never seen on video, awesome!!!, i really wanna se on video "could this be love" by oattes... my second best song of your productions!!
@FutureWorldOrchestra Thank you, Robert! I discovered your band rather recently (mid '90s) and I like many of your songs. I love analogue synths - I have an ARP OMNI 2 (Dutch circuitry), Teisco 60f, Korg ms2000 and the underrated Kawai K4 (digital but with 26 sampled analogue waves). I often drive my car around my small town (Dolores) with Desire on the stereo way up high. By the way, last year I gave a lift to a Dutchman who's working on a farm just out of town. I still see him around.
@hindsighter How nice to hear this all Hindsighter. Do say "groeten vanuit Nederland, het is hier heerlijk voorjaarsweer" to this Dutchman if you wil. It means...."greetings from Holland, we have nice spring weather here"...;-)
I don't think this is their best song but this LP is very good. And the outfits!

Now that you point it out, I can see the Polymoog as well. So, it appears the Korg is just for show.

@NewShimmer
Yeah, Korg PS3300, completely polyphonic with 3 oscillators PER KEY. Only 50 were made. Best Korg ever.

@NewShimmer
Correction: The keyboard on the right is actually a Polymoog, the Korg just sits on top of it, not connected.

I'm not sure they're using the zoom lens enough during the verses...

Hi Hindsighter,
The synths we used here for television where not ours but RAI Uno's!
In our own studio we used like ARP2600, Polymoog, Korg 3100, Korg MS-20 and ARP-sequencer.
Greetings,
Robert Pot
