DID'NT KNOW THIS SONG 'TIL I HEARD PAOLO SING IT, THAT LED ME TO TIM BUCKLEY, AND THAT LED TO JEFF BUCKLEY, SO ALL GOOD!! A CROWD LIKE THIS AUDIENCE COULD DENT A SINGERS CONFIDENCE, AND WOULDN'T THAT BE A REAL SHAME, DON'T KNOW HOW LUCKY THEY WERE!!!
I did not know this song until I saw this. His version on the P4 radio show is much better. On that, It is heart piercing the way his voice breaks in perfect connection to the words.
The song is written by same guy who wrote 'everybody is talking at me' so you can see maybe Paolo found a new muse at same time cause he does that song too. Thank god for a voice who find the perfect songs to sing that mean real.
he has not the voice to sing this piece of great music. tough i'm happy that he knows the true hero's buckley / neil to cover this. respect for the effort! keep up this work!!! wish more people of his age new this music instead of all the shit that commercial 'artist' bring out.
Yeah, dolphins was definitely written by Fred Neil. Tim buckley was a big fan of Neil and his music, so much so that he mentioned it in the only film he ever acted in ("Why?") and covered the song on his sefronia album, Fred Neil also wrote Everybody's Talkin' which you can hear in Midnight Cowboy (the harry nillson version anyways)
The great Fred Neil composed this song. Tim Buckley completely transformed the song into a song that was truly his own. The renditions are different and both great. Nutini is singing Buckley's arrangement.
FRED NEIL sang it first!!!!!!!!!!!!

tim buckley also covered this on safronia (beautifully!!!), but it's neil's song.

it's so annoying when people talk!!!!!
I was performing once, and I had the urge to suddenly shout "SHUT UP!"
but I never did...
likethewater 4 years ago 3
If you shouted that Paolo might have thought you were talking to him lol XD
But yeah, the talking isn't on...
