im sorry to ruin it guys, but it isn't very fun. i bored me fromt the 3rd day playing it. SC4 was extremely fun, this is just "okay." like the lots don't grow, they just stay one structure, and it's just uninteresting.

No. There is a single player mode, and i think the multi player world map is a subscription service you pay for.

I've just bought it. There's a solo player mode (Play Solo) but you need to login first on CItis server with a valid (US$ 39,00) key, no subscription needed. But for playing online (Planet Mode) you must have a subscription too. The game is too many times better than Sim CIty 4, it's a huge evolution form it, something like from windows 98 to windows 7: high resolution, curve roads, quick growing, etc, etc.

On a side note, you do need a decent PC to play the game without any lag and decent settings. im running with 2gb ram, AMDX2 64 bits, 256mb gfx and lag on lowest video settings. The game can pump out awesome details but its also very demanding.

lol its not impossible to build skyscrapers in simcity 4.You have to know how to play the game for the skyscrappers to come.I think this game will be harder than simcity 4,You will learn.

You dont have to pay to play this game if you dont want to...you only pay if you want to share and visit other players cities and get new buildings and stuff like that.

Has anyone seen anything like elevated rail, subways, rail systems etc in this game? I'm not a train-nut or anything, but a fun part of sim-city was connecting up the different transport networks, plus the trains looked kinda neat buzzing around the place.

IMO, u guys don't have a clue about CG, the level of detail of this game is extremely powerful, don't u see the lightning?? It's almost real, not to mention the buildings amazing level of detail. It's superb.

I agree with some about the buildings that pop out from nowhere, and the radioactive trees, lol, but anyways, the overall visual and graphics r excellent.

I wait for it's release too. :D

These graphics are dismal. Simcity 4 looked 100 times better in 2D. Did you see how building grow in this game? What the hell happened to construction sequences. Buildings just pop out of the ground like somebody squeezed them out of a ketchup bottle. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Not to mention every single tree is like fluorescent green. The building designs look like a fucking 2 year old drew it
