It's not just the Terminators who wear black armour. I'm pretty sure it's all of the First Company who wear black armour, considering Catuclan Reaver Squad (1st Comapny assault marines) are described as having black armour as well.

Firstly, let me say I'm a great admirer of your talent and works! I think this is an AWESOME Legion to choose. I am a Dark Angels Heresy player (My Legion resembles the Loyalist sect during the Battle of Caliban). However, I've always loved the Luna Wolves, and the books have done them much justice. They are the most "human" of all legions, and their struggle to maintain their loyalty comprehensive. They represent the battle all space marines had to fight during the Heresy. Great choice!

realy nice stuff you made there...but one thing directly poped into my mind....wait a minute....this is pre heresy. at this time period several things are not invented jet.

Assault cannons are one of them...this is why chaos terminators don´t have it.

other still not invented things:

razorback, plasma cannon for infantry, predator anihilator, landraider redeemer and crusader, thunderhammers for infantry, multimelters for infantry, stormbolters, vindicators, whirlwinds, drop pods....

@GirlPainting Yes we are aware that you cannot have some of the things you mentioned however you are incorrect on: Vindicators, plasma canons, whirlwinds, predator anihilator, drop pods & thunderhammers. All these are allowed and have been in several publications of the black library and the horus heresy, including pre heresy.

@MarneusAugustaCalgar well, you have to devide the official fluff from the fluff of the black library, because they often contradict the already written fluff. for example it is sayed that the vindicators are invented quite some time after the heresy. then in the 2. edition codex chaos is written that the energy coils are the pre thunderhammer weapons from witch they are invented in the 35. milenia. the predator anihilator was invented from the space wolves in 34. milenia and so on...

@GirlPainting Although, before the Heresy, the Iron Warriors were known for having Vindicator's, they may have not been mass produced in other other chapters till after the Heresy, but they were invented, also of course Thunder hammers were around before the Heresy, because Rogal Dorn had a Thunder Hammer, also the Primarch of the Iron Warrors had a Thunder Hammer, like with the Vidicator's, they may have not been mass produced, but they definutly were invented!

@GirlPainting Ummm... No... All of those were their, asualt cannons were as I remember from the first heretic, all tanks were discovered before the crusades began, not invented by the imperium. Stormbolters are so simple to build, Plus chaos termies have storm bolters, and multi-meltas.

@MarneusAugustaCalgar You need to read Horus rising, the first HH novel. It's essentially a commitment, sworn before battle, to accomplish the aims of the battle plan. Normally wipe the enemy of the face of the earth :). I get the impression it's where purity seals developed from. They are fixed to shoulder pads just before the drop.

Awesome work man! Just one thing, I thought the Assault Cannon was invented AFTER the Heresy, that is the reason Chaos Space Marines don't have assault cannons. I could be wrong, but you may want to see into that. (And I do realize it has to be a playable army, so if knew this, and picked it for playability, then ok! :P)

@steamisM50 That confuses me somewhat, i thought that too, but i'm reading 'A Thousand Sons' at the moment which is set before/during the heresy and apparently the thousand sons terminators have some of the 'new assault cannons' that they decide to call the 'reaper'.

This doesn't fit with any of the table top stuff xD....very confusing.

@Musabre "reaper"? Maybe it is renamed the Reaper Autocannon later on by the Imperium, after they made the assault cannon. I DO know, that the Reaper Autocannon was a predecessor to the more powerful assault cannon, so that may be it.

Not trying to be picky, but fluff wise the assault cannon wasn't introduced until after the Horus Heresy. The autocannon was used preheresy, hence why the traitor legions don't have assault cannons. Same story with the combi-bolter and storm bolter.

Great work on the models though.

i think they fit into pre-heresy. you could give them a bit of chainmail in the gaps in between the armour pieces or some bolts on the legs or should but i think that would be too much details (you can't never have enough :D). for me that would look really great. just a suggestion though :)
