@LSUHEBERT You can use a broom stick aswell. The bands/belts are just easier to have around in a gym bag & allow a little more range of motion, but a broomstick works well too and much better then not doing. I have been doing these with a broomstick at home before hitting the gym for years. Plus once you have the length broom you like best you can avoid over stretching/injury by always putting your hand in the same spot/ends..

But I don't know what incentive someone would have to unnaturally reach a level of muscle mass that is attainable naturally considering potential side effects, unless of course they just have a shitty work ethic. And if you had any idea how rigorously dedicated Kane has been and continues to be to training and fitness, he probably would have bodybuilder muscle mass if he were doping.

@leggoego It's not just prevention as timbahwolf said, it's also great if you have flexibility/posture problems. Slouched back from sitting in front of a computer all day? Do 3 sets of 10 of these every day for a month and you'll stand taller than a photoshopped model. Use a broom stick for more wrist flexibility. And remember, start as wide as possible and move in by literally millimeters. You can do more damage than good if you do these wrong.

hi..... Im 160 lbs looking to gain healthy weight. I've been shopping for myself lately... mostly buying oven pizza's, corndogs, chicken, beans, some vegetables, fruits, pasta's, and cerals. I smoked from the age over 11-19, so i have difficulties with prolonged exertion excersises, and I have 2 sets of dumbells, 10 lb, and 30 lb each. Am I on my way, or do i need to change. I know the pizza's and corndog isn't a good idea. I drink juices, milk, gatorade, and water

Haha When i first joined gymnastics I was going to do a dislocate on the rings only to find out i did it the wrong way, and my coach noticed that I can dislocate and relocate my shoulders like that only that it goes all the way around over and over

My shoulders are both wrecked...will this sort of thing help before I lift? DB flys and DB press are bad...I've dropped from 110's on DB press to 70's because of my left rotator cuff

Anyway, I think these help as a warmup if your shoulder girdle is healthy. But if you have issues already, probably may make it worse.

@timbahwolf oh...that was chest presses, not shoulders :) Lifting that much on a shoulder press would kill me. Thanks for the reply...I certainly don't want to make it worse, so I will look into some other shoulder exercises to help with the stabilizers

hi..... Im 160 lbs looking to gain healthy weight. I've been shopping for myself lately... mostly buying oven pizza's, corndogs, chicken, beans, some vegetables, fruits, pasta's, and cerals. I smoked from the age over 11-19, so i have difficulties with prolonged exertion excersises, and I have 2 sets of dumbells, 10 lb, and 30 lb each. Am I on my way, or do i need to change.
