  • DAMN no one mentions the tremolo features. I want to know if they are tremolos that instantly switch to hardtail mode. Every one knows about the damn piezos.

  • the acoustic setting sounds awful.

  • maaan these Parker guitars! I simply can't stand the design of the guitar, it's so god damn ugly, but man oh man do they sound good!!!

  • I heard a kid playing a Parker one day and thought it was a cheap crappy guitar that was new to the market...until my buddy told me and I found a used one for $600 now I'm buying one..I make that thing sound like it's screaming those notes...btw go's to show some people just can't make some guitars sound good (Parker and ibanez forever!!)

  • Just goes to show, these Parker guitars take a lot of stick because they can sound horrible in the wrong hands, but in the right hands (as on this vid) the guitar is stupendous!

  • Will the $999 MAxx fly do all this to, that 80's metal is what I'm looking for, and the acoustic is amazing, me and my band are bringing back the early 80's thrash and heavy metal...plus what are some good Amps, and set ups to run this bad boy through?

  • @lolwriter no, I prefer Phil X over this guy. But he's better than any of the WorldMusicSupply guys.

  • 3:13 my lucky number, i knew i could trust you!

  • I'm offered to buy this guitar for 620 euros and would like to know what was its price when bought new in shop please, any idea ? thanks

  • @marcanb28 Well, parkers are FUCKING expensive. the cheapest usa made ones are 1259 i think. And they'll go up to 7600+ so go and buy that thing.

  • this guitar shoulder friendly??

  • the ultimate clean?? hahahah there's a weird guitar I call a strat , it's has nice cleans too

  • that riff near the end (with the bridge humbucker) sounds a lot like 'rock you like a hurricane'

  • see,, all this great, these are all sounds i can get on my variax 600 and its like a fraction of the price, plus it looks way better than that

  • marc seal fuckin rocks

  • I had one of these and they Break Strings like crazy and that is no Bending

the Humbuckers are 4 wire and can be modified to be split just add another switch they sound great but another thing is that the frets are just glued on

i am seeing a lot of these that are now having problems with that

  • This guy seems everyday down to Earth to me.

  • @ThePKscene Search for Andrew Tapley and listen to the first video. As far as I know everything is stock on that Fly.

  • It really is as good as he makes it sound. Great neck, comfortable to play and great sound. I never get to play anymore but on the off chance I do, it's the guitar I always pick up.

  • damn that guitar sounds great!!!

  • sounds fucking amazing...

  • i played one of these today.. it was a 2grand model and i was just blown away.. to amazing

  • i have it!!

  • I will own this one day.... And I will feel godly when I do...

  • this is the best person to demo this guitar...atleast for me

  • Great Demo I have a old Parker Supreme

    and It still sounds GREAT.

  • i LOVE parkers! i have a parker p44(cheap model i know!) and its the most versatile guitar i have ever tried or heard! i play slipknot and cannibal corpse on and i can play acoustic ballads or everything that has ever exist i even play slide guitar on it too!...

  • do you have to use a stereo cable ? I heard that you can use a regular cable and still mix the piezo and regular pickup sounds ???

  • Yes you can, It has a pushbutton for stereo

and mono, stereos great to record two

tracks, one acoustic, and the other processed electric, but Its cool in mono to

mix acoustic with a little crunch you can get

    really unique tones.

  • wow that's a great looking and sounding guitar, I must get it

  • good luck coming up with like $5000 X)

  • The clean sounds nice... but to my taste, its a bit dry... but still sounds good, and the dist sounds cool

  • play me some CCR! =D

  • CCR?? sorry, im bad with initials...

  • creedence clearwater revival. lol you know, i see a bad moon rising, i see a man on tha ruun... ha

  • have you ever seen the rain, proud mary etc.

  • this is horrible sounding

  • Super sound. Nice musical tones too. I find it very impressive, the mature choice of tones, shapes and colors. :)

    Peace, from brasil.

  • anjritt....

  • Nice.

  • Thats a parker nitefly m natural finish.

I have the parker p-38 its an awesome instrument, id like to someday upgrade to that particular nitefly

  • is it a Parker nitefly Classic???

  • its the Nitefly M...but they did rename it recently to Nitefly Classic

  • so basically that guitar is coil tapped snd you have fitted a humbucker neck pickup and piezo bridge pickup, and where can you purchase a piezo pickup

  • dimarizo bridge pickup. there are 6 individual piezo pickups build into the bridge itself so you have to buy a fishman bridge or guitar that comes with piezos

  • how can that be a "cleansound" when u using reverb full of that crappy effekt?

  • The singlecut fly is pretty awesome looking, IMO.

  • this is the guitar that I need, but I'm out of budget :D It sounds amazing, that is!!!

  • OH MY SCIENCE YOU CAN PLAY EVERYTHING WITH IT!

    Awesome.

  • hey can you make a video on the bridge/tremolo of this guitar? or at least give me some information on it through messaging on u tube? how does it function? is it a fixed a floating or a fender style bridge? ive heard its all three but does the factor that it can do a fixed bridge it can also go into some lower drop tunings? such as drop d drop c or drop b? i used to have a fender strat that could stay in drop c pretty well even with that style bridge but it tok awhile to get it into that tunin

  • Whoa the combination of the piezo and the normal pickup sounds like a 12 string

  • It's just the chorus effect he probably added to it.

  • This dude plays Taylor solid bodies now......

  • Holy shit I want one D:

  • phuk I'm in love

  • Comment removed

  • Wtf is that noise at 2:58?

    It sounds like breathing. O_o

  • lol wtf ur right

    thats scary man

  • OH NOES!

  • which Fender amp is that

  • twin reverb ?

  • probably

  • not sure, but i believe its a Fender Frontman 212R

  • ???

  • This guy is a great guitarist!!! Great review....

  • Damn right. I played one of the older Parkers and it was great. I am sure the new ones are just as good.

  • does anyone know if he uses some effects pedals?

  • Hi there! There is no effects pedals here. Its only the parker with some chorus from the amp only=) i have a parker fly classic and i tell ya, its the greatest guitar in the whole fucking world=)

  • he uses a boss gt8 that acoustic sound is the parker right in the PA ive seen this on a interview

  • most versatile and super light

  • man...for the longest time i've been eyeing a prs....still sorta am....but this video demo is making me seriously consider a parker instead!!!

  • whats the first song he plays?

  • Love the looks and the tone. Played with one years ago. Love the acoustic channel and the fretboard. nice post:)

  • The first clean sound... THAT really is the ULTIMATE clean sound!! OMFG!! And the last solo sound was also ULTIMATE!!! I want a guitar like that!!

  • Excuse me, if this is a dumb question but..How do you switch the piezo system on and off?

  • there is a 3-way switch

  • ahh, thank you!

  • dude ive been looking at guitars for the past month when i first started playing, and i want my first electric to do it all on a 1500 dollar budget give or take. its really hard to find a supremely decent guitar that can have the single coil twang of a tele (well close enough) to rock out some blues, to crank it over to the humbuckers, gain it up and play some metal. the 4lb weight, decent price, extreeeeeme versitility, able to go acoustic, custom carved body, and sexy look makes this perfect.

  • it s not 4lbs

  • cool demo

  • I guess parker guitars are pretty good, but I think they are the ugliest guitars ever made lol

  • i want one so badddddd

  • its a nitefly m

  • i think he is using a fender, fender amps own

  • I love Parkers and like the theory behind the design. The wood in the body is deemed to be secondary and primarily there for strength. They are really light and get an awesome acoustic like sound from the piezo pick ups, I tested one last year. Cant afford one at the mo but would love one !

  • This is one of the best guitars to have right now...try one out and spend some time with it...

  • He hates them cos he cant afford one...nor is he skilled enuff to put it to good use >..>

  • what are you talking about these are great guitars

    prlly the best

  • I bet if you play more than a feelin with that first combination it would sound just like it

  • This guy does a sick sweeping tutorial video. I saw it a few years ago.

  • great demo dude/

  • oh yeah and remeber hes going through a fender tube with what im assuming is a lot of pedals that have been very carefully adjusted,

so take into consideration that u can make pretty much any guitar sound really good with the right combination of pedals and a good amp

  • ha the 80s sound,

    so awesome,

and instead of having a totally gay lookin guitar like this,

make your own from warmoth and wire up the same design as this guitar.

  • Clueless - It's not made like any other guitar.

  • I love the last one, it sounds like a flute.

  • im lookin for a nice light cheaper parker nitefly guitar sorta lik this one. can any1 help me?

  • try ebay. Theres lots of paker guitars in there

  • Parker rules.

  • There's a guy like this working in every guitar shop in every city in every country in the world.

  • does it go out of tune when you use the tremolo? it's not a floyd rose and doesn't have a locking nut, but i've heard something about this guitar having a graphite nut.. is this true? if so, how does she work?

    cheers

  • graphite nuts nuts are made a high quality graphite (like pencil lead) so it is essentially a lubricant for the strings to easily slide and they wont catch thus not stretch out of tune and as long your not trying to divebomb the crap out of the thing it'll stay in tune fine

  • locking tuners...

  • Yes, it does I think, or others do, won't go out of tune even if you do divebomb.

  • Is the guitar coming just through the amp, or are there any external effects in front of it?

  • That was fucking awesome

    thanks for sharing man

  • what kind of bridge those guuitar have? tremolo or floyd?

  • floyd-style.

  • fulcrum tremolo.

  • thats great....if only it was attractive.

  • should i buy this one or american strat.... ahhh dilema...

  • una stratocaster americana es la mejor guitarra,,, no te va a defraudar

  • sorry dude, i dont understand =( in english please :)

  • get parker you will be much more satisfied

  • they brake in 3 months

nice electric and humbuckers but shit body and neck

  • Why do you say they brake? I was really looking into getting a P44, but now im curious about how tough they are? can anybody help me out??

    Thanks.

  • well i dont have one though... but 2 of my friends own nitefly... they said dont waste your money for p44, save for a lil bit more and buy a nitefly. they dont break that easy... those are just parker haters comment on this vid

  • also they use a different bridge...

  • from what i gather the P series guitars dont use the carbon composit for the neck and fret board. Other then that im not sure what the difference is...

  • Dude!!!

What a great and informative video.

Now I want one just like this and I want to learn how to play it like you...

    Thanks!

  • Is there a HUGE difference between a Nitefly or Mojo vs. a P44? Thanks guys!

  • This is awesome. I just got a 97' Deluxe & would have never figured out half of this :-) Great playing too!!

  • holy shit how is that kind of piezo tone possible oh my god

  • I am dedicating myself this summer to earning money for Lollapalooza and this guitar.

  • Very informative video. I have been playing them since 1996, really versatile for touring. I have on in standard and one in open tuning.

    my only guitar.

  • NOW THATS AN ALLL ROUNDER

  • Godin vs. Parker...that would be interesting to see

  • Parker is better both on piezo and on magnetic pickups. Look through youtube for sounds.

  • Damn man I think I just heard angels sing

  • is that same as the p-44

  • What an incredible versatile guitar! Thanks for posting.

  • i wished i was old enough to fly to america and buy that kickass guitar

    i want him soo badly

this guitar makes me think i'm in heaven and he's my angel ahah:D

  • well come on over and we will get you one...!

  • This is THE MOST HELPFUL guide to getting a guitar I have ever seen... I've been shopping and trying for weeks, but nobody carries the nitefly near where I live... So I refer to youtube videos as to how it sounds

  • EXCELLENT vid!

  • Shit, I didn't think these guitars were SO expensive. Damn...

  • parker:best guitars

ibanez is pretty good too tho

  • is that nitefly M or fly mojo?

  • its a nightfly M. mojo has nicer wood, semor duncan pickups and carved body

  • awesome

  • Nitefly is a great guitar, I have one myself, although you have to give some credit to the amp he's using.

  • oh my sweet baby jesus. im a fender guy my self but that guitar is god!! one of the most versatile guitars iv seen

  • is the other switch just 3 way toggle

    2 volumes?

  • fuck me tht solo at the end sound nice on the neck pick up!!

  • getting one tomorrow...... CANT WAIT!! Salivating*

  • so did u get it?

  • I so want one, how much?

  • I got mine for about 1000 bucks at Chris' Guitar Shop in Morehead, KY

  • well, i live in Pittsburgh, so that won't work

    lol

  • you get a great sound from that axe

  • YEAH, THANKS FOR MAKING A GREAT KEN PARKER GUITAR VIDEO!!!

I too, have a Nitefly (Swamp Ash with custom pu) and love it! Did I blink, or did you not show the lovely shimmering heavy tones you can get with magnetic and and just a touch of acoustic?

  • nice guitar, shame nobody can afford it.

  • pee-eh-zo?

    or pie-zo?

  • piezo

  • Looks like fun, i'm a Dean guy though

  • wicked, the clean tone was great, for an electric guitar, i wonder how it will sound with an acoustic simulator
