Well it's easy to understand, the guy hit an antler, the antler made it alive (it will certainly die in the wood), you can see it's blood on the road, the guy got ejected from the impact. An antler can do alot of damage to a car.

Interesting how it all apparently happened in his head. I noticed he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and all the impact sounds from the fight were similar to those of a car crashing in the woods and he crashed through the windshield of his totaled car.
