oh ok thanks...dude..i have a 446 RAM on my computer and it sux...can i use the virtual memory to increase my RAM??..to make it 512 mb RAM...what will i put to the initial size and maximum size to make it 512 mb ram from 446 ram?..i know ot's a stupid question but please answer all my questions...thanks...
haha no no the not a stupid Q ... part of lerning is asking what you donot know ....
virtual memory is MUCH slower thin RAM... virtual memory is not ram .. its only a backup if you do not have room in ram for what you need to do/run (if you need 600 MB worth of data in ram but only have 512... it cant fit.. so it much be put in virtual memory)... that is not exactly how it works but that gives you a bit of a idea
so no... it well not give you 512 of ram .... but adding more virtual memory may help you out some... but relly if ur PC is slow (and depending upon your other hardware and software that you ues...) adding 512 may be a good thing to look in too
