what i found funny is that someone people apparently looked at a map for the tables that year, and they found that pretty much all of it was haruhi suzumiya ero-doujin mangas, if "dripping brigade chief" is any indication.
I've been to San Diego Comic-Con for 4 days, and that place is hell too. I've spent $175, and it was all worth it. The crowds are relentless and it doesn't help that the temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit. On top of it all, Comic-Con is kinda similar to Comicket, just Westernized. There are western comic book heroes as well as anime characters.
This scene (and Lucky Star in general) is brilliant. I just love all the references (^^). Did anyone notice even the BGM music is a reference to a Kenshin OAV BGM?
@cwflunachloe12 I've been to an anime con before. My god... You dont know how fun it is. You meet voice acters, anime , art book, import games, collectibles as far as the eye can see. You end up playing "I spy" with the cosplayers.
@KentaSan17 I have actually been to an anime convention before - I had the time of my life! It was awesome! But I think that Comiket would be a whole different ball game, you know? 10 times more crowded, and 10 thousand times the amount of merchandise. I think my head would explode!
@Brianguyanddude its overcrowded and intense, if your not early youll miss all the good stuff, after a few hours all good stuff is gone untlil it reaches local stores ;(

New York Anime Fest is pretty much similar to San Diego Comic-Con, now that they have merged it with the New York Comic-Con just last year.
