give the final fight on the xbl or psn a try its pretty much arcade perfect and full surround sound great times I have the megacd version is really really good but for ease got to be the xbox live version
@Snestastic Yeah there is its tied in with some other game I forgotten what it is but yeah there is a one level demo on xbl and pretty sure there is on psn too
Been dying to watch this since you upped it but have only just found the time! This is probably my second favourite home version of the game, it used to be my fav until I bought the PSN download earlier this year :). Great gameplay mate, thoroughly enjoyed watching it :)

last time I held a 5" floppy was at school lol I've not paid much more than £40 a game, a few were under £20, I think cotton ended up at about £48 but thats a serious bargain & a superb shooter, its a machine plagued by rip off bin sellers on ebay tbh so its a case of waiting for auctions. I'm happy to keep picking up the odd game here & there whilst I wait for a system, I'm hoping for something in the £300 range, there was a working one at £500 last month but that was more than I'd give.

Great stuff Pete, a legendary game and one of my favourite of all time. Not sure if you are now aware of the story but my recollection is that some character over at Nintendo USA took offence to the fact you could chin a woman (Poison/Roxy) so they changed the names to blokes (Sid/Billy) for the American version.......although by all accounts Poison and Roxy are transvestites anyway so they weren't women in the first place.

I'm not sure I ever got passed the first level when I played this in the Arcade as a nipper, I've always found it that bit tougher than other fighters. Looks like a great version though, I like Hagars Pile Driver!

Closest to the arcade port that we ever got until they came out with the capcom collection games. Can't never go wrong with the Final Fights, I know there are probably more Streets of Rage fans on here but I always preferred the Final Fights myself. Great vid Pete

So they got rid of most of the censorship but a few things like Sodom being renamed Katana stuck eh? Looks like a fantastic version of the game though.

It's amazing that they could do such a great port of a classic arcade title yet the majority of other games for the sega cd were pretty terrible. Makes you wonder why more effort wasn't made.

@Snestastic Yes theres some on ebay Pete, loose the sharp from the search though, just go X68000 final fight, great system & some amazing games, I've been buying the odd game here& there ready for when I can actually find a system working in the uk for sale, they are so rare, I think I've amassed about 15 games ready though all at pretty decent prices, the big one I want is castlevania but its over £100 so I will leave that til I do buy the system.

Mate, like you said - THE best home port of Final Fight. It was just fucking amazing what they were able to do with it on the Mega CD. Even if I had a cabinet to the game, I'd still play this, just because the soundtrack recieved an amazing redbook make over.

Night trap isnt that bad actually if u like girls in short tops lol..as for the FMV its actually a weird story but fun none the less..probably the best FMV game on the system..but most were awful
Hey pete was the mega cd region free?....I remember having a load of imports..but also remember having one of those carts to by-pass region locks....cant remember if that cart i had made cd's region free and also carts.....im guessing it did
