The point of Second Life is exactly that, a second life, it isnt real, so why have restrictions and rules to try to make it real? it is an user made community. For example a person wanted to be a clown in RL but he couldnt why can't he live his dream in a virtual world?
If people want to have virtual sex let them have it because once you pull the plug, everything in that world disappears. Its not real life and it should not try to copy it by establishing rules and forcing people to act real.

well the problem is that how would they enforce the laws? If you sent in a virtual police force controlled by players, it would cost an immense amount of money. My advice to you is if you dont feel comfortable, you should stay away from it.

Linden should create some laws for this virtual world, as it's clearly become more than just a computer game. It's almost like it's some other country or something that you can go to and do all kinds of things in.
My idea would be that they should have some staff members who pose as normal avatars looking to cash in on some virtual vulgarities and, once they get deep enough into their stuff, ban the accounts of sick freaks like the ones who own Wonderland.

The comment 'only no lifers play this crap' is not actually true.
I actually own four stores in SL and make enough money to pay my mortgage. Many of the in-world residents are some of the finest graphic designers and scripters and in one place.
Why not get Paintshop Pro and do something creative, interesting and possibly rewarding financially. (Oh there are at least 20 Dollar millionaires in SL so i would not call them no-lifers but wealthy people)

Realistically Linden Labs cannot monitor and deal with EVERY avatar in game and therefore banning child avatars would put a definite dent in this behaviour.
