The Importance of Clarifying Shampoo

i have a bad dye job...i wanted my hair dark brown but it came out black. and i've been researching (because quite frankly i don't want to bleach it..) and i found articles saying that Clarifying shampoo will make my dye fade. does it work on permanent hair color? and also on dyed hair that's not recently dyed..... it's been a while now.

@escapetheromanticKM Yes it will make the color fade, don't do it weeks after you have colored your hair though. Just do it once a month or your color will fade faster.

I use clarifying shampoo daily due to oily scalp + daily exercise. It removes all the gunk - natural and artificial.

@SandSSxSarah does it matter what kind of apple cider vinegar you use like I found Henz apple cider vinegar but it says ideal for cooking is it still okay for the hair?

I think using a clarifying shampoo makes a huge difference on my hair! When I first started using it, I used it once a week. That is when I had a perm! Now I only use it once a month. My hair not only feels better, but my other shampoos work better to!

@aasianbabe they are quite harsh and depending on the color like mine is bleached blond so it dosent harm mine but if you use a darker color than your natural hair it may cause some fadeing if used too often so try it and if the shampoo does fade it try a color glaze for your hair color after it:)

@NATALIAAAAx I'm sure you'd find one easy enough, most brands have one. Pantene do a clarifying shampoo. Just look in some of the bigger drugstores x

I use the Neutrogena clarifying shampoo and I really like it. :) It's not too much either

i use apple cider vinegar so i dont have to use the harsh detergents and still get the build up off my hair :)
