as of feb 5.08 it is already at 605m and 159 completed floors. Once they begin construction on the Al Burj, it will almost be 1,000 feet taller than the Burj Dubai at an estimated 3445ft (1050m). But they have "invented" a new building material which will allow them to build higher than 2000 ft. if they only used steel and concrete, by 2000ft the weight of the floors would crush everything below it. only time will tell to see how big this monster will be
