  • Oh it's so sad to see this. I worked there from1977-81 and it was the best job I had ever had my best memories are from there. I worked in the children's ward. So it's sad to see how this wounderful building has been let go of. Thank's that was good to see at least it's not been forgotten altogether.

  • @MsShaggydoo

we tryed to get into the buildings to take some more photos before they got knocked down but only the drying block was accessible theyd sealed the rest up! a few weeks ago they had cut down all the forrest growing at front so you could see the buildings from the main road... il head up soon and see what there doing (only the water tower is staying) oh some of the rooms in the nurses block are huge do you know what they were used for?

  • what a shame this building is an arcutectural masterpeace one of the best examples of its kind in scotland and yet its left to rot

  • beautiful yet decayed memories of sadness i bet; can you upload some more of these videos itwas really Good!!

  • This is actually quite sad to watch. Think ofthehard work that went into keepin this hospital runnin. Now look at it.

  • itis a very sad place, it was opened in 1900 to deal with infectious diseases, by 1960 it was used for terminally ill young people, geriatric and psychiatric patients, by 1980 it was mainly used for HIV/AIDS patients and closed in 1998... most of its patients would have died here, without any hope of recovery... and soon it will be turned into hundreds of houses
