This is pretty funny actually, There are a lot of misconceptions made by their company about Flash. More of a marketing gimmick, All I can say is that Adobe has an answer for almost everything discussed in this video. Believe me when I say that they are prepared for open source.....lol

@mahhoura1 Not errors mate, its either hosting the website/servers, or a compiler, that writes all the HTML files into a .class file, so it is able to be read by the computer. Therefore, it can be able to be hosted, and used ;)

I tell you what have me make your site in Flex with the new Flash player 11 and its hardware acceleration GPU and we will see how much better your HTML5 really is. Was your Flash site using the fastest protocols like Flash remoting? Was it optimized? Can you program in OOD with HTML5? AS3 is fully OOP compliant. Good luck trying to add any augmented reality or 3D. Cam support with HTML5? HTML5 security better than Flash player. Nope fail again! I think I will stick to Flash.

@beatport I love that the site loads really fast and lots of other stuff you have mentioned but the only problem is something is wrong with the player, I can hardly play any tracks, and the ones that i can take like 30 seconds to start. So i will continue using the flash site until the this problem is ironed out, just letting you know. Btw i'm using chrome.

What i HATE about the new beatport is when you actually don't want to listen to the next track after the bad one and you want to click the one that's 8th below because for example for you it's from a label that usually don't suck it doesn't play instantly like the Flash one it just shows the key and BPM with that cloud which pisses me off everytime. And BP Recommendations should be releases not selected tracks like it's not people to choose a favorite. The rest are things you get used to

@MrFlyboygully No, I understand what you want but beatport already has 2 million songs in its library, regardless of what genre you like 95%+ of thos songs are complete shit! Even with requireing having a label to release music on Beatport the standard for quality control is too low. If you allow unsigned artists to list music that quality control will astonishingly drop even lower.

If you just want to have your songs on Beatport, there are enough shity labels already who will release your music

Maybe if they created a second marketplace where unsigned acts could sell their music away from the main site, a place to test new acts. If they don't sell X amount by X release then they are dropped from the marketplace but if the sales come in favourably then said act could find themselves invited to release on the main site...

I realise the concept has flaws as sales don't always = quality but Beatport is a business at the end of the day and I think such an idea which creates opportunities for ANY act to EARN the right to distribution can only be a good thing in the long term rather than getting lucky with the outdated concept of a label.

Once it loads its not that slow and the BIG plus is that 1 point it had on the video....which basically saves me time as much as the loading and track searching (by waveform)combined + it''s good to have the key and the wave form but its not essential and after all if your not a dj you will most likely not give a fuck about bpm and key and even if you are there is a big chance you won''t anyway.
