around the 3 min mark the man does a full removal of his pack to transvers the obistical. i am a big guy so i have to do that my self in some situations but i noticed he didnt have his regulator on when he did it.
to the guys doing full exscapes with their packs never ever ever take your hand off of your strap that contains your only source of air control that bottle..if it falls nd you dont have it in your hand the mask is coming off and you die..just a lil help from a fellow brother ;)
why are you going to use an axe when searching a room? i rather use a haligan with the fork end to search so if you come across a body on the floor you don't cut them.
@hunter1596 Considering that you're supposed to search with a sweeping motion and not a poking motion, its extremely unlikely that you would ever cut a vic with a halligan. And if I ever got separated from my team and it was just me I sure as shit would rather have a halligan bar than an axe. Its much more useful. You cant really force a door or do anything useful with just an axe.
The video was pretty good except for the disrespectful firefighter in the back making the motion with his hips toward his brother who is training and could be the one to pull him out of a life or death situation.

if him tapping the axe on the floor was supposed to be him sounding the floor that light of a tap wouldnt do much good.

no shit..what would be the point of smashing a perfectly good axe against a concrete floor during a training evolution

We usually take different tools when on the same search team. But gotta agree the halligan is the best all around

I completely agree brother whenever I am searching I always have the Halligan it can just do so much more then a axe

@bman2101 I learned to perfom the backwards swim motion, but before you do so, sound the floors to be sure its ok to crawl through it,..

Dragging that regulator around on the floor would cost you several "Push-up's" at our station! lol
Great job & keep up the good work boys! Training is the only thing that keeps us all coming home!
