I watched this movie in the fifth grade, for music. All the girls in my class paid close attention, and even at a young age, I knew that the characters were people I don't like. As a teenager now, I hate the people who loved this movie and act like the people in it. "Stick to the status quot" is brainwashing children to not have a mind of their own.

high school in real life is NOTHING like the way the depict it in the movie. WHAT ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE???? like the emos, band students, the social outcasts, the hardcore gangsters, the druggies, and the artists????

they only show the jocks and cheerleaders the whole movie (and theatre kids)

and the make them look like the best things ever. everyone is good-looking and everyone acts the same. WHERE IS THE DIVERSITY????

When I was 11, I never did watch High School Musical. I really didn't care about it. Yet, its sorta stupid. Just like Camp Rock, in both movies there is not at least one Rock song. In High School Musical, there are 3 movies. In the last movie they graduate from high school. What I don't get is that High school ends in 4 years, yet this movie ended in 3. It doesn't make any sense.

I have no interest in watching High School Musical at all. I thought the idea that was totally pointless from my point of view. I also have to say that there are shows that are just washed out. When I was eight years I was watching Die Hard and I also watched Another 48 hrs. I also have to say that yeah, there is not that many great action movies like there was back in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Cartoons also back in the day also were emotionally involving as well.

Now most of the cartoons are watered down. It isn't what it used to be. I don't understand how High School Musical 3 got into theaters either. I have looked on the Internet Movie Database and the first one got a 5.4 out of 10. The second one got a 3.9 out of 10. The third one got a 3.0 I believe. I'm not too sure. When I was kid, I loved the hard core stuff like the old Transformers, Thundercats, GoBots, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-man, and the list goes on.

Yes, sadly under Eisner Disney moved away from the traditional movies that proved popular instead focusing on 3D animation and the niche markets. Eisner basically lead Disney towards a flash over substance method. Hopefully the return to traditional animation will give Disney it's 3rd Animation Renaissance.

I totally agree with you. I was also forced to watch it and after like 10 minutes, I fell asleep because it was BORING! Once I woke up to their singing and I thought "NO, not the singing AGAIN!" and I fell back asleep. Once I accidentally found it being aired on television. I changed the channel in seconds, because it was annoying. And yeah, it's another jelly stuff like what today's kids get. Live action movies? HELL NO! I'd watch older cartoons. These new stuff has no motivation whatsoever.
