  • rest in peace bill. such a beautiful soul

  • i wonder if he has reincarnated as some bright young future comic, ready to spread the same wisdom again

  • Ciao Bill. E' solo un giro di giostra. RIP.

    Grazie per il vostro lavoro.

  • such an amazing man im just sad im only 17 and just found out who he is him and George carlin were kings

  • @LS7335 Thats be cause he is you, and your him. We are a singular consciousness being experience subjectively. This is a basis of quantum theory.

  • Moving. THE GREATEST. We miss you although you are always with US. We miss new shows, your GENIUS:

  • "Another hero dead"

  • @TheRaretunes At least it was by his own hand, and not subject to the republicans liek poor old JFK and John Lennon.

  • I am so jealous! I wish I saw this in London. Such an honour to see this man. Unless you're a conservative.

  • That last monologue is worth the words of entire humanity. The greatest!

  • It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love...RIP, fuckin' genius

  • And after the whistling and clapping they all go back home, one or two may remark ' well that was something different wasn't it'. I got my social conscience variety thing done to be in the clear as a marketing salesman for a few years now. Back to American gladiator.

Glad Bill is in a better place now, I' ll just keep it at that.

  • @aaaaaaaars Or he's probably back somewhere for another ride. He had fun during his lifetime. Most people have no idea what that is, even those who live 100 years.

  • by the way the music at the end??

  • he is a like religious guy almost:D

  • We need Bill Hicks now more than ever....his views are more relevant now than they were then. R.I.P. Bill. London loves you..still. Bearhug. Tx

  • grazie per gli upload. Hai migliorato la mia giornata, e probabilmente la mia vita.

  • Simple point = true

  • Awesome! thanks for uploading

  • INCREDIBILE !!

  • Astonishing.

  • A game, a ride. Where we have forgotten the rules while we are alive.

  • Bill Hicks was, remains and will forever be a true legend

  • Bill Hicks was a true legend

  • Point Perfect!

  • Point = Brilliant!

  • No Bill you are not alone in any of this.. thx for all the laughs and insights and getting me into Tool too..

    0mmmm

  • The death lost against Bill Hicks...

  • When you discovered Bill Hicks, did anyone else feel like he was talking right to you. Cause I have never concurred with any public figure like this: Dead or Alive.

  • @LS7335 Yep, I can identify with you on this one. It's almost like listening to yourself, except I'm seldom this funny lol. Makes you miss the man even more especially when you're surrounded by brainless fukin slaves, all in trance thanks to indoctrination and lies. Good luck on the ride. No wife no kids here, less emotional burden when shit hits the fan :) And who in their right mind would found a family now when society's on the home stretch to self extinction. Yeehaaaa

  • @LS7335 WE are in total agreement

  • @LS7335 Right on the spot man.

  • @LS7335

    totally agrre man.

  • @LS7335 i would like to say two names that actually do the same... to ME anyway... George Carlin, and Joe Rogan. look em up man

  • 420 likes. Coincidence? I think not

  • If Bill thought the 90's was bad, he'd be doing the little Hammer dance in his grave.

  • Amazing. Did Bill Hicks know he was going to die when he made this?

    Anybody?

  • @freedomflashing

I don't think he found out he had cancer until he returned to the states from England. Sad thing he was never fully appreciated here in the States until after he passed. Lots of people borrowed from Bill after he passed, Kinison did, Ron Shock still does (Both close friends) Even Carlin borrowed from him, more like picked up the torch really, late in his career. His stuff from 2005-2008 was influenced by Hicks and a lot heavier in Social Commentary without pulling any punches

  • Bill "its just a ride"

    George "its a freak show"

  • Isn't it coincidental that two of the modern world's greatest minds, Bill Hicks and George Carlin, were both comedians?

They're allowed to say anything they want, hence being able to shed some truth in a world of shadows. They're also realizing what Bill said: Life is just a ride. They didn't use their minds to try and beat everyone in the corporate world. They didn't use their minds to create weapons and instill fear. They used their minds to entertain and enlighten.

  • @CelticMudkip

The two of them together have done more to open my mind than any form of formal 'education'. My own personal experiences have educated me more than my formal 'education'. Marijuana and psychedelics have shown me more than my formal 'education'. It's almost as though in my formal 'education', I was never taught anything or shown anything of any meaning. Never taught anything of any worth to the human race. I was taught how to get a job, how to work, how to follow the law.

  • @RAMONDlAZ

An interesting idea, but I think it's something people need to discover by themselves. If we could teach people to be safe with drugs, that would be a worthwhile cause.

  • I would to say to the person that hates this video go and fuck yourself and go back and live in fear because the corporate dicks tell you to. Or you could go and smoke some pot and watch this video again and maybe your eyes will be opened to the absolute genius of Bill Hick message which is life is just a ride and go and fucking enjoy it.!!!!!!!

  • @molloydaniel5 400 likes..ONE dislike...that says it all...

  • @rageohol

that's because the fundamentilist christians couldn't hold untill part 8

  • this man is a GOD!!!!

  • @oragami76 we're all gods, Bill just knew it.

  • Its just a ride...R.I.P Bill Hicks...one of the best comedians, critics, and minds in our world...=´´(

  • ITS JUST A RIDE

  • 1:05

  • PompelmoMeccanico .... thank you so much for posting this, brillaint stuff. r.i.p Bill, sorely missed.

  • Un grazie sincero per le traduzioni!

C'è un video postato qui su youtube che si intitola "The story of Bill Hicks - It's just a ride", mi piacerebbe vederlo ma non capisco tutto dato l'inglese! :(

Voelvo solamente proportelo per un' eventuale traduzione!

    Ancora grazie! :D

  • his humour has helped me see the bigger picture. The sleeper awakens!

There is more to life then mortgages, a crap job for 40 years, wars and irrelevant bullshit on the television!!

  • @louthleviathan right on

  • the sad part is. Everyone will feel like they became a little bit enlightened by his words. Then come tomorrow we already have forgotten

  • @lulustu I havent, and never will. The fact is that life is simply a ride.

  • Y'know, he seems like a bit of an arrogant prick, but if you actually pay attention to what the fuck he's saying, it proves that this world we live in is completely screwed up!

    Rest In Chaos Bill Hicks

  • AMAZING!

  • what a prick in the audience shouting baldy.

  • I wanna know who was the 1 SOB who disliked this video.

    Thumb this up, spread around...

SUPER HICKS

  • You're a real genius buddy.

    It's a shame you're dead,but fuck i was laughing

  • un illuminato

  • grazie per la pubblicazione e la traduzione!!! è stata una scoperta meravigliosa!!!!!

  • HONOR TO BILL!!

  • i wish i knew what kinda person would dislike this

  • @ExtendedWeekend I hope it's just a missclick. I hope for his sake. XD

  • @ExtendedWeekend Same here bro...let's keep an eye out...

  • @ExtendedWeekend ...eh the Republicans, the Tea Party, Fox News, News Corp, world bankers, global corporations...take your pick!

  • 2:43

  • What a clever, clever man....his goatboy/satan things did scare me a bit, so that's that point made - but a true loss to the world

  • Proud to say this man grew up in Houston, Texas.

  • un profeta

  • life is just a ride, and so? nice sentence, but: next? ok, now we are on the joust, but, what's over there? i mean outside. and yet, if this is just a ride, that means that we are all hallowed to do everything we want? so i can kill everyone, i can throw my garbage in the sea, ruin me, and don't give a fuck for the consequences. i think that Hicks is just an agitator, he tells right things, but this right things are hidden under a mountain of shit personal opinion, and this is my shitty opinion.

  • @TheEcnephias : I agree your opinion is shitty and that you also have the right to question Hick's opinions. However his opinions made much more sense

  • @TheEcnephias well, I think that "doesn't matter, it is just a ride" means that we should not take life too seriously, you know, without trying to earn money from everything...

"Wake up! Your money, your house, your car and all what you've got, well, all of those things have no importance! It doesn't matter! Living in peace, without poorness and exploitation, here it is what matters! And then, we can go on in our path as "humanity" "

Here it is what I think he wants to say

    sorry for my English

  • 2:21 he's in pain from the cancer :(

  • @anguspie ...? He just did that...it's not him reacting to pain.

  • I love that black hat. It's simultaneously American and other-worldly, which fits Bill Hicks down to a tee.

  • Hicks and Carlin, I doubt the world ever will see anyone like them again.

  • @1TtidnaB

hicks, carlin and osho, that's my trinity :D

  • @1TtidnaB what about Katt williams.....just kidding

  • @1TtidnaB Agreed, they define the word artist to what it used to be, revolutionnaries!

  • The Man

    Was & Is a

    PRIEST

    PHENOMENAL!!!

  • R.I.P Bill.... It's too fucken bad this independant thinker is no longer with us!

  • THere is a point. We need a lot more people like Bill.

  • 3.30 = George Bush

  • It's a fucked up world we live in when our comedians have a million times more sense than the people we put in charge.

  • "We always try to kill those guys who try to tell us that. You ever notice that." Bill Hicks died in 94. The good die far too early. I would galdly give my life to tell thousands of people the truth. Even through comedy. I don't consider mysself anywhere good enough to be a comedian but I am a musician.

  • he was ahead of his fuckin time

sounds like present time, his speeches

grazie a te e a tutti quelli come te!

  • I wonder if he thought it was a ride when he got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with liver metastisis....

  • @theMAXILOPEZpsycho He was diagnosed around this time. So yeah, he did.

  • I wonder if he thought it was a ride when he got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with liver metastisis...

  • @theMAXILOPEZpsycho , Yes I'm sure he did think it was just a ride. Bill was a very bright guy and obviously knew he wasn't going to live forever.

  • who is he referencing coming back and being killed? john lennon?

  • @poopyscoopy5 , Basically Lennon and others like him I'm sure.

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Welcome all psychonauts!

    /ɯoɔ˙ʇsǝɟıuɐɯʎʇıןɐǝɹʍǝu//:dʇʇɥ

  • All I can think of when I hear or see Bill Hicks is the phrase "SUCK SATAN'S COCK".

  • Thank you for posting these, Meccanico! Enjoyed it greatly. RIP Mr Hicks - you were our most incisive court jester.

  • fantastic....even though we all chose both, comes with the poo we move out each mornin'.........

  • hehe, this gave me chills, I like it very much

  • this man stared into the face of his own death, and saw only truth, i love him for it.

  • @mastermike165 I like how he read the Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring before he died. I would probably do the same.

  • 5 stars!!!!!!

  • One of the most important adaptations of perspective that have been spoken in this era.

  • Seriosuly. We need alot more people like Bill Hicks speaking out against some of the crap we live with. Instead of all the fake media bolox we listen to allmost ever day.

  • We need to fix ourselves we don't need more like Bill to fix us. We are our own personal Jeasuses :P

  • @asins

    agreed

  • @asins Media wont let us

They care about their boats and hoes

  • This is a man totally fed up with society's bullshit.

  • R.I.P. Thanks for the good times :)

  • That song at the end sounds like "Purple Haze" anyone else agree?

  • Me !

  • @SalSanMar Close, Foxy Lady. Cheers...

  • @SalSanMar3

    Yeah. Very close to it.

  • @SalSanMar3

Definitely. Hicks was a huge fan of Jimmy Hendrix and mentioned him in several of his bits.

  • Espetacular! =D

  • beautifully said

  • thx 4 posting!

    RIP billy..it's just a ride....

  • sono dello show.

  • @PompelmoMeccanico

  • Another fallen hero, we all miss you Bill.

  • Sentiti ringraziamenti a Pompelmomeccanico.

    Good job.

  • thanks

  • His closing bit is so epic. Loved it.

  • @chestbuster1987 Fucking eh bro. If only the world leaders could be like that, life would so much sweeter.

  • man i wish i could understand the entire concept of life just being a ride. i mean in theory it makes sense, but i just cant seem to connect it with the experiences in this world. it just doesnt work.

  • Maybe it's because you care too much?

  • but how can i not care

  • Well your watching a bill hicks show...take his advice....5 dried grams of psilocybin mushrooms should do the trick. (well maybe not at first if you haven't done them before, but you get the idea)

  • ive done mushrooms 11 times lol BUT i have not done them in pure nature yet which i really want to do, maybe ill try lsd one day but i donno

  • i have. have you seen god, too?

  • I dont think you quite follow Bill anymore on the screen then :P haha.

  • its not in a literal sense. and there is not such thing as death, but is an experience you have to do alone not by any church or institution

  • Fantastico.

  • can anyone relate me back with an explanation for the use or purpose of that rectangular prism (or w/e it's called, named monolith in the film Space Odessy) where B. Hicks is shot at the end of the sequence? I kind of know what it meant (even if there was not a connection in the first place).

    thank you

and thank you PompelmoMeccanico for sharing this,

    great presentation, great man!

  • Sometime in the distant past someone or something nudged evolution by placing a monolith here on earth (presumably elsewhere throughout the universe as well) Evolution then enabled man to reach the moon's surface where he finds yet another monolith, one which signals the monolith-placers that we have evolved that far. Now a race begins between computers (HAL) and man (Bowman) to reach the monolith-placers, the winner will achieve the next step in evolution, whatever that may be. imdb

  • hicks rules man

  • I know why Tool loves this awesome philosopher.I love Tool so much I'm happy to hear Bill Hicks philosophy on Tool albums.

  • Thank You! Bill and Pompelmo

  • R.I.P. Bill. The world would make you cry now brother...

  • His summary at the end of the show makes me happy. He hit the nail on the head, we have nothing to fear. Life is just a ride. So enjoy it while your here.

    R.I.P Bill

  • I love you Bill, you are one decent human being. That last bit is very moving...I remember after I watched this the first time I laid in bed and really thought about everything that is going on in the world and just cried.

  • *hugs*
