Thats pretty fast , when i was 12 i was throwin 76 mph from 54 ft , now im 13 throwing 83 from 60ft , and whoever said no 13 year old throw 73 , i know about 20 that throw over 73 , and i dont play rec , i play travel and im going to the elite 32 i think u'll notice me pitching

im 13 and can hit 73 accuritly if i seriously throw as hard as i can i hit 82. but guys quit saying you throw in the 80's and that your 12 or 13 that is bullshit, you probly get clocked at 60.

I noticed he is landing off to the right side.. not in a direct line to the plate. My son did this and he was having bicep trouble so we worked hard at having him pitch in a more direct line and now no pain but he has lost some speed I'm wondering if maybe the landing off center might have a faster spin rotation for some kids? does this kid have bicep pain after games?

im having a hard time believing hes 12, maybe 15, the fence says 378 in left center which means its a high school field........which means 60 1/2 ft mounds. no 12 yr olds play on that field. and maybe i would understand that he was 12 if he was the only big kid out there, but all of them are good size for "12"

@gbaby21209 He was 12 in the fall of `09..you play up 1 year in the fall..its not a high school field...its a Stadium!..Cal Ripkens Ironbird, Baltimore Orioles single A farm team plays there..He is 13 (6' 2". 185 lbs)now and i just put another vid of him pitching same stadium one year later, you should check it out...hit 79 mph!

I'm 12 years old, 4'7", and I can only pitch 42mph when I'm pitching my arm out. =( Does anyone have any tips that could help me pitch faster? Thanks, and I don't play pitcher. I would like to, maybe as a back-up. Awesome pitching btw!

Awesome! My coach tells me when i throw my curve not to snap my wrist, which by doing so, increases your chances of injury, so i don't throw many curves, and my main pitch is a Fastball also, only 64 MPH tho, and i just turned 13 :/

I play 12u and I remember playing the Young Guns back a long time ago. It was probably a different team though because they were black and maroon. It was in an Arizona tournament for the Super Series Winter Nationals.

@cfootballboy5 thanks--he doesn`t throw many per game at all--he has met up with pitching coach Univ. of Va. and he said if a kid shows balance and the proper mechanics then ok to do--John at this time was 6' tall and above average mechanics,,,beleive me i know alot of kids their main pitch is the curve,,,Johns is his fastball--thanks for the comment and good luck this spring--Murph

no reason to lie--radar said 74 mph, the 2`nd pitch is a 62 mph curve--radar gun was behind home plate..consistent 70+...he`s 12 and i know hard to believe but true...other pitcher threw 70...most kids like this big kid up were very late swinging
