I started watching House around the start of this year, and related to it deeply as I was in a position not too dissimilar to his, socially awkward, fairly miserable, and clinging to a gift I had when many other things were absent, and I based myself on him for a spell, rejecting people, using comedy to hide misery, but now I'm in a new place and I see the failure of his philosophy, we all need people, well all need to belong, sometimes pretending is worth it if it makes you happy.

Indeed...everybody lies. No denying it. It's just the truth. I agree completely with House. His philosophy has gotten him a long way, even though his medical technique can sometimes be questioned. His sarcasm is a good way of showing that he knows what he's doing. He may make mistakes, but all is fine, and things turn for the better. House, you are a role model no matter what they say.
