A dog there is a few things that is missing from your studio 1 is a nice microphone preamp and 2 is a headphone amp get those and you will be stright. keep it up
@holyprophacy thats cool but if you want that big studio sound you need a nice microphone preamp, the big knob is good for your headphone, I been in a lot of studios and had own three studios, to have a good sound you need a good mic and micpreamp, not the one that is on your mbox cuz they are crap. this is all game.
nice gear bro ... but the one thing u have to do is to CLEAN the shit around, hide the wirez, organize cds, papers, cases, keep it nice and clean... big up...
nice setup... but not the basics. this is to far all u need to produce good music is a software (logic)decent computer decent studio monitors like Mackie ones/ headphones.. and skill
I feel you with the comment about Kurzweil ... You got the MPC 3000 already (CLASSIC !!!!), so coupled with the k2600XS ( for example !!), your beats would sound HARD one theses motherfuckers.
I'm in UK and the prices are way above my budget, so i'm planning a trip in a year to cope :
-AKAI MPC 3000 or 4000, maybe both !!
-Kurzweil K2600XS with all the sound cards in it ..
-Neumann U 87, second hand would do.
If you are in Cali and the prices are steady, i may come in there.
Col set up man, you know what I'm sayin'? :p Seriously, pretty sweet bro.

What do you think of the Mackie Big Knob?
do you have a mixer separately or use the Mackie into your DAW or just use the Mackie for everything??? ;)))
