This man is NOT a Roman Catholic priest. The RC Church has declared that women cannot receive Holy Orders. This dude needs to read his theology and church history. His lunatic views on the priesthood are heresy and nonsense. Christ gave his authority to Peter and Rome has declared against this. I'm a male and I'm not scared of anything. NUTS NUTS!!
Jesus taught that Mary did the 'right' thing by not acting like a 'women' of the day......"but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”(NIV Luke 10:42) Who doesn't hear what He is actually saying here? He's saying to everyone who reads it that Mary is more than equal to the men who are sitting with Him. Infact, she is even closer to Him.
This is heretical nonesense. It is also highly suspect in History because Our Lord did not ever bow to convention of the times over the truth. On the contrary he said things as they are and did them according to his own wishes not sparing local ideas or customs. He chose Men for a particular job and women for others and the idea that he did not want to upset the cart wagon of male society is a-load-of-rubbish! Also the Fathers of the church and its traditions do not allow women priests thus.
Rom 15:4 " For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.' If these things were written for our learning, then how can we justify simply throwing out scripture and moving the doctrine of the "church" in the name of progress? The scripture says,"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Tim 3:16.
@MalcolmFraser1 You cannot understand spiritual things with your head. You must meditate and pray for God's understanding. Otherwise the pride of your mental apparatus will bloat up large and foreboding and eclipse your heart. A critical mind is a dangerous thing and increasingly loses love over time.
The false doctrine of progressive modernity seems to be so widespread that father peter is completely caught up in it. He is basing his conclusion on modern humanistic rationalism that is in complete contradiction with the teachings of the bible, and with the traditions of the early church that he refers to. Father Peter's conclusions on authority and where it is derived is completely irrational and biblically unsound. Where does the bible teach that a soul inhabits more than one human body?
@ruach2351 God does speak through nature, but no revelation from God will ever contradict the teaching of Scripture. Jesus makes it very clear that the Scriptures can't be broken (John 10:35), the false teachers of his day were mistaken because they didn't teach what the Scriptures taught (Matt 15:1-6). No Scripture came from man, but is from God (1 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
@ChosenGentile Just so you know most scholars do not even look at the scriptures in the way of this eternal word. They recognize the significance of the oral tradition and realize that the scriptures are inspired by the wisdom and will of God but mediated and written down by man and put in to human words. You have to be able to read between the lines.
The Holy Spirit, through whom all of the Scriptures are inspired and given, will never lead anyone to disobey the truth of Scripture. Throughout both the Old and New Testaments, women were never granted spiritual leadership because God has instituted that men would lead and women would provide help in accomplishing God's goals. This priest is a heretic teaching reincarnation and speaks not the truth. Go to the Scripture for truth not this wolf in sheep's clothing.
@ChosenGentile This is an extremely narrow view of religion - that only truth is in the Holy Scriptures. God can reveal God's teachings through many things besides the Bible - like nature and many other things that God made. Open your mind. You seem to have reading as your sole source of authority, but experience is far more noble and life changing.
@ChosenGentile Yikes, firstly you need to study the history of how the bible was cannonized together. There are books purposely omitted solely for the purpose of keeping people from thinking they could come back and do it over again...who gave them the go ahead to do this? Also, the idea of authority here is more of a leadership role...its a nurturing role...not a "boss" role.
So glad I have you to teach me about these important issues as you clearly know more than the 2000 Catholic heritage. You're whole argument hinges on this being a "different world" now. But truth never changes. A church that simply reflects the sentiments of the world is utterly pointless...
And btw, your whole thing about Mary and her being sinless proves that Catholics aren't scared of or demeaning women. We all know how much they love Mary, and they have always canonized women saints.
You are talking about "authority" and "power" but I don't think the priesthood is about those things. It is actually about being a priest in the image of Jesus Christ who is a man not a woman. You are hung up on the idea of power and that priests are somehow the "bosses" of the Church. I don't think of the priest as a "boss." You seem to think this. The function of the priest is to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and administer sacraments, not about "bossing people around."
@ddoody A real priest connects people to God and thus is a teach or should be. Teaching has a position of authority, but is more about someone who serves others in their desire to be one with God.
@ddoody the faithful baptized and Holy Spirit filled Christian is infact "in the image of Jesus Christ ". Apostle Paul clearly stated "there is neither bond nor free, Jew nor Greek, male nor female, for all are one in Christ". This same Apostle Paul saluted Apostle St. Junia, which was in the Roman Church at the time! No Pope's decree can undo the words of the Apostles.
The Vatican declared that any women who attempt “ordination” or any bishops who attempt to “ordain” women are automatically excommunicated from the Church by their actions. The decree from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith is said to be absolute, universal and immediately effective.
@nilofc The same authority of the church in Jesus' times sent out a decree to have Jesus murdered as well. Hypocrites always get rigid and stiff when confronted with needed change in the religious institutions they adhere to. Joan of Arc was seriously abused and maligned for her courage and faith until sainting her was unavoidable by the said absolute, universal and immediately effective authority of the church. What are the men of the church afraid of? Women are half the world.
Holding and preserving power is not taught by Jesus. He taught to love everyone. Many women are called to the priesthood by God. Maybe the Catholics don't have room for women except in demeaning and subservient roles, as that might threaten their fragile masculine sensitivities, posing as power and dogmatic assertion. Women would actually put most of the male priests to shame in their ability to be compassionate and loving, as Mother Mary is. Mother Mary was High Priest
Thank you for your video. Male and female should always have been presented in balance in the Church. Working in collaboration with their strengths and talents should be the ideal.
Gen 1 God created male and female simultaneously in "OUR image". Yet men in the next chapter wanted to take that intial declaration away and put females as lowly. Harms resounded throughout the milleniums. Balance is required.
I am not a perfect person. I am a sinner. but seeing ordain women and homosexuals make me wonder what these ppl are looking for in the church? the world is spinning in no direction. Doom day certainly will be coming. I must be repent and get ready for coming day.
Junia[s], Priscilla (Prisca) and Phoebe were are church leaders listed in the New testament (Acts 18 and Romans 16). There were women in leadership within the Pagan realm, however not in my Realm (Jewish). This is why Paul states what he does about women not speaking or teaching or having authority until they learned in private as they needed to learn, as much as the men did, how to be in Biblical Eldership!
The Church has said no women priests. It is not possible and the Church has no authority to ordain women. In humility and obedience, we accept this teaching. To dissent and protest endangers our immortal souls.
The decision not to ordain women has nothing to do with gender bias. Christ came for all people in all time until he comes again. He was also perfect and made perfect decisions. If you cannot hold his decisions to be infallible and by de facto those of his Pontiff perhaps you best repent or find another church...father, is it?
I don't agree with your statement about Jesus restraining his message because of the time he lived in. Jesus told his disciples they had to eat his flesh and drink his blood, at the height of his follwing, which caused most to leave him. He wasn't concerned with numbers; rather, he was concerned with quality. Your suggestion presents Jesus as a man afraid of the consequences of his actions even if the actions were Truth. However, scripture presents him in the opposite light.
Dear father, with all due respect, you are very welcome to found your own church. I see that you are all for NEW AGE. I bet you are for married priests, homosexuals and abortion.
The Dead Sea Scrolls and texts from Nag Hammadi might change our views and get back to the true basics. The council of Nicaea changed so musch...there was a time when women weren't allowed to become doctors or study at universitys...Was that from God also? No, from man, men... men might have ruled for eons but that will change. we are SICK and TIRED of being secon class humans...really. God is JUSTICE. So, women are allowed to priesthood as well as any other profession on this planet.
@eyeboan I think that the Bible has been edited to reflect the views of its male writers. Perhaps you should read the story of Christ appearing to Mary Magdalene and the women who are told to spread of the word of Jesus' resurrection, or the stories of Junia, and ask yourself if maybe you've read these stories through a rather biased lens.
The bible was written by men, about ancient male bronze age thoughts and experiences. Then written by men, for men about men, from a male perpsective. Even the womens thoughts and roles were written by men.
But.. Funny how the books of John are the most loving, compassionate and kind books in the whole bible. 1 John 4, almost seems like a woman authored them?!.
Bible teaching has been predominantly male led and instructed, the BIAS is enormous.
just by the way you talk i can tell that you are an apostate priest if you are even a priest at all. yes Jesus had women followers. but there are certain times in scripture where he singled out only the apostles. the transfiguration, when he sent out the twelve to preach, in the upper room, was Jesus sexist? i dont think so he was just passing down the ancient hebrew tradition that had ONLY THE MEN IN THE AUTHORITY POSITIONS IN THE MATTERS OF WORSHIP AND LITURGY.
Let women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted them to speak, but to be subject, as also the law saith. But if they would learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is a shame for a woman to speak in the church.
a woman has no right to be a priest, the term itself is used as a leader in the faith. the single reason why a woman cannot fill the role of a man is so simple and is supported by God himself. God had a SON not a daughter. the role of a man is to govern, a priest does just that, he governs his given parish and leads his people as a father would his children. this is outragious and this priest should be ex communicated.
as a european im ashamed at what the american church is doing.
You are not really listening. I know Jesus Christ personally, and not by belief. I follow Him obediently and serve Him in every way. Jesus has followers who do what He says who come from many traditions and many faiths, not just one. Mystics are people like this.
I understand that Benedict XVI has Excommunicated them, but what about the Bishops... why are they not enforcing the Excommunication (or suspensions) the same way the did when priests refused to celebrate the Novus Ordo Mass???
My brother in-law (who wants to become a priest) told me that a nun (in San Antonio) was defending womanpriests in the Church, and so far she continues to give instruction there to priest candidates.
I am not a Roman Catholic Priest. And yet I am a real Priest of Jesus and Mary. Sometimes Jesus can elect people to be a priest who are not suffocated by an institutional religion. There are very spiritual people in the Church, but as a rule we have Pharisees everywhere and most especially within the relgions. I would look with spiritual eyes and not the eyes of rigidity and dogma.
Because the Vatican II "popes" have lost the faith. They are heretics and have allowed chaos to reign. The vatican II false church is the abomination of desolation that Daniel spoke of. If you and your family are in a Novus Ordo church, get out and find a traditional Roman Catholic Priest. Do a search about it.
@ruach2351 ... The Sodomite problem in the Novus Ordo Seminaries is a symptom of the disease; not the cause. The cause of all of this is the defection from the faith by the vast majority of the hierarchy. They no longer believe (including Mr. Ratzinger) that the Catholic faith is the only path to salvation.
Wow! it is frightening to admit you don't have a real and personal relationship with the Master Jesus, so you could actually ask Him directly. That is sad.
I take it you agree Mother Mary is the Co-Mediator then.? Co-Mediator does not usurp anything, it is just equal, that's all.
Ask Mother Mary if that is not the case. why do evade and hide from that challenge to ask Her directly? Do you not know Her? Can you not talk to Her? I thought She wants people to talk to Her?
Jesus states very clearly in Maria Valtorta's Peom of the Man-God that Mother Mary is the Co-Redeemer and Co-Mediator as well as the Queen of Heaven. Jesus decided to give us the whole story and he dictated it to Maria Valrtorta in Italy in the 1940's. Check it out. Also, Jesus has rights over his own story and decided to give us a much, much bigger picture of how he taught than what is in the New Testament.
this man is not a Ordained Priest... shame on you ,, you will be accountable for everyword that comes from your mouth, and he is just mocking the Church of Christ, the Roman Catholic Church,, St Peter, a man, was given authority over all and was given the keys of the kingdom,,, shame on you.. you Pharacce
This man is Not a catholic priest, he is a fool. Anyways, the keys of heaven were given to Peter, a male, Im sorry, but just because its the 21st century, doesnt change church teaching. And all women priest are invalid, no matter what... Shame on you for mocking the Catholic church. The bible says,, you will be liable for every word that comes out of your mouth..... Repent Repent
You seem mired in Church teaching, but not in Christ. If you knew Jesus really, you could ask him about these things and not rely on the words of others or antiquated doctrines. The Church was sure the earth was the center of the universe and that was considered infallible doctrine, remember?
pretty sure Jesus didn't care what the people thought. HE only died for our sins and stood up against Caesar. If women were called to the priesthood, why didn't Jesus call his own Mother to be a priest? Pretty sure she was one of the most important people in his life. Men are the ones who are called to the priesthood!
The apostles applied to Mother Mary after Jesus ascended and followed her advice as she was the High Priest equal to Jesus. John calls her the Elect Lady and addresses her as such. Why does women with spiritual authority threaten you so much?
I must say, I definitely am not threatened by it, I am just sick of liberal heretics coming and applying their western thinking and assuming the Church has to comply with it! It does not matter if we are in the 21st century or the 10th century, men are ordained priests ONLY...Any woman who says she has a call to the priesthood is just trying to fulfill a self-prophesy!
Mother Mary is the Co-Redeemer and Co-Mediator, so what are you going to do with Mother Mary being in that kind of spiritual authority? Again, men are threatened by women who have real spiritual power.
I'm also concerned about this idea of reincarnation. You have a cross, are you Christian? Souls do not get reincarnated in Christianity.
I'm Catholic, and this whole presentation is riddled with heresies and extremely loose interpretations in my estimation. Sexual complementarity is one.
One cannot accept reincarnation by belief alone. One must have experience of other lives and having lived in other embodiments in order to know whether it is true or not. Beliefs are for children, experience is for spiritual grown ups. Otherwise, one is speculating.
Women can be nuns, but I don't think they should be priests. I believe this goes against Paul who said that women should not speak in church.
If a church wants to go let women be priests, then get ready to accept homosexuals and all sorts of other perverted things into the holy institution of the priesthood. Look at the Anglicans. It's bad enough already in the Catholic church, we don't need any more of them molesting boys.
For 1100 years priests could marry, then the church ordered celibacy. What do you make of that? There are women priests who have real relationship and authority given to them by God. It is not a political question. It is already an established fact in the Centers of Light.
Celibacy is church practice not doctrine or dogma, hence it can be discussed. There is a big difference between the two topics. Jesus never ordained woman as priests. Furthermore, Paul does say that woman shouldn't talk and that they should cover there heads. Both of these things I don't think could happen if they became priests.
I think married priests are ridiculous. The pope is infallible. DO you not know what our Church is focused on? Scripture, Tradition, and Magisterium are three things that uphold the Church (among others) Celibate priests is a tradition...and again...celibacy is something that was practiced as early as the 200's AD. So it's not like all priests were married 1100+ years...
Another quibbling comment. Yes, some few were called to celibacy, but most priests were married for 1100 years. Then some kind of decision was made to make all priests celibate for economic and power reasons.
NUTS NUTS!!

When taking into account the importance of authority & Apostolic Succession, you realize the heresy of becoming a priest outside the RCC is.
Acts 6:6 - Apostolic authority is transferred thru laying on of hands. This authority has transferred & stems from the original 12 apostles.
Acts 15:22-27 - preachers of the Word must be sent by bishops in union w/ the Church of which the authority traced to apostles.

My brother in-law (who wants to become a priest) told me that a nun (in San Antonio) was defending womanpriests in the Church, and so far she continues to give instruction there to priest candidates.
Can someone explain why Bishops allow this??

@wjweigand I think the 15% of Catholic Priests that were pedophiles is the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel.

@ruach2351 1% are, just like 1% of the general male population.

Wow! it is frightening to admit you don't have a real and personal relationship with the Master Jesus, so you could actually ask Him directly. That is sad.
ruach2351 3 years ago
I take it you agree Mother Mary is the Co-Mediator then.? Co-Mediator does not usurp anything, it is just equal, that's all.
Ask Mother Mary if that is not the case. why do evade and hide from that challenge to ask Her directly? Do you not know Her? Can you not talk to Her? I thought She wants people to talk to Her?
ruach2351 3 years ago

The Church was sure the earth was the center of the universe and that was considered infallible doctrine, remember?
ruach2351 3 years ago
pretty sure Jesus didn't care what the people thought.

Why does women with spiritual authority threaten you so much?
ruach2351 3 years ago
I must say, I definitely am not threatened by it, I am just sick of liberal heretics coming and applying their western thinking and assuming the Church has to comply with it! It does not matter if we are in the 21st century or the 10th century, men are ordained priests ONLY...Any woman who says she has a call to the priesthood is just trying to fulfill a self-prophesy!
tradition1st 3 years ago
Mother Mary is the Co-Redeemer and Co-Mediator, so what are you going to do with Mother Mary being in that kind of spiritual authority? Again, men are threatened by women who have real spiritual power.

I'm also concerned about this idea of reincarnation. You have a cross, are you Christian? Souls do not get reincarnated in Christianity.
I'm Catholic, and this whole presentation is riddled with heresies and extremely loose interpretations in my estimation. Sexual complementarity is one.
Tony1584 4 years ago
Heresy examination is for inquisitions, not for people in love with God, who are also having real experience of God.
ruach2351 4 years ago

Celibate male priests only. Let women be nuns.
Tony1584 4 years ago
For 1100 years priests could marry, then the church ordered celibacy. What do you make of that? There are women priests who have real relationship and authority given to them by God. It is not a political question. It is already an established fact in the Centers of Light.
ruach2351 4 years ago
Celibacy is church practice not doctrine or dogma, hence it can be discussed. There is a big difference between the two topics. Jesus never ordained woman as priests. Furthermore, Paul does say that woman shouldn't talk and that they should cover there heads. Both of these things I don't think could happen if they became priests.
nate12387 3 years ago
I think married priests are ridiculous. The pope is infallible. DO you not know what our Church is focused on? Scripture, Tradition, and Magisterium are three things that uphold the Church (among others) Celibate priests is a tradition...and again...celibacy is something that was practiced as early as the 200's AD. So it's not like all priests were married 1100+ years...
tradition1st 3 years ago
Another quibbling comment. Yes, some few were called to celibacy, but most priests were married for 1100 years. Then some kind of decision was made to make all priests celibate for economic and power reasons.
