The Slingshot makes fun, I know it. But why don't you shot full power? you can pull back 5m. and in the right angel you shoot about 100m. If your in the right position to shoot straight up in the sky, a waterballon climbs about 50-60m

To answer the question about what we used: it's a standard, generic three-person slingshot, available in toy stores and outdoor game shops most everywhere in the US and UK. Please, if you're going to do something like this, have lots of test firings and get comfortable with using it beforehand: it can do damage to someone if used carelessly.
