Konami in it's fucking prime here. I loved that era. You could tell when someone was playing a Konami game. It looked awesome, the sounds were similar but entertaining, and the person playing was probably cussing up a storm from dying all the time. :)

I would always set lasers and missiles to the same button and constantly unleash hellfire. I'm surprised not more people did that.

I remember beating this game as a kid, don't think I could do it anymore. Reflexes had to be top notch to beat this on hard!

lol I remember me playing this game on easy to get many 1-ups then after the credits i played through normal and got some 1-ups, then on hard i lost like 10 times but the disply in the upper left corner still showed 8 lifes :P then when i cleared hard mode i waited for the credits to pass by and then the game started again on even harder difficulty o.O

No, the web just slows you down. It can be difficult to move, but as long as you're not near a leg you won't get hit when it moves, and it's pretty easy to dodge the shots it fires too.
