I personally think that SMB2 had a decently-sized influence on some of the other mario games, official and unofficial alike.

In SSBB, peach can throw turnips, which is a reference to smb2, and occasionally she'll yank a bomb out of the ground instead of that turnip.

In a few other mario games you're also able to pick up certain enemies, and even koopas if you stomp them first.

There's probably several other mario games where you can pick up enemies in a similar fashion that I haven't played.

In the US and Europe they rereleased Doki Doki Panic but in Japan they had a game called Super Mario Bros. 2 that was just Bros. 1 with harder levels. The released this in the US and Europe as Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels so it does fit in the list.
