Besides, if you compare the lvl of wich boxers use their hands (i'm talking about top boxers here) and their defence against hand strikes (of course, not all usefull in mma because it can leave you vulnerable to knees and kicks) with ufc fighters they are not even in the same league. But this is totally understandable because they have to train in multiple disciplenes. My point is that neitheir is overall better and it doesn't have to be.

Dont think Lidell exploited Vitor at all, Vitor was established before Chuck. His biggest problem is he relys on BJJ instead of wrestling, and when he fought lidell I believe that was after his sister was abducted messed up his mind and he was on a losing streak, vitor is 50/50 in performances. I seen the fight last night at Hooters. I thought Rashad was going to go in scrapping, same as Thiago. But Rashad had a fighting plan. Throw punches then wrestle him down. Gave Rashad points. But then at the 3rd round Thiago caught him with a couple of punches. Thiago would've knocked Rashad out, but he was to exhausted to finish him after him landed some haymakers on Rashad. So it went to the judges.

You can have a perfect record and still not be that good of a fighter. Having only 1 loss doesnt mean much, anyone can loose to anyone, and anyone can beat anyone.
I say Evans is overrated because the commentators talk so much how about how he is good at this, and this and this and that, yet he does nothing the entire fight and still wins.

I agree, he's not all that, he got his fame beating Lidell, which was tricked into fighting evans game. UFC always talks up its new flavor of the week fighters. Then when they lose you usually dont hear about them anymore, lol. Evans the (reality contestant) wouldn't have a chance with Ramage or Lidell in thier primes.

rashad is one of the better LHWs out there. even in his prime liddell would have probably lost against Evans not because Chuck sucks but because hes too 1 dimensional. MMA is evolving and some of the smarter fighters out there took note of this and started to add more shit to their game ex: GSP.
PS rampage is still in his prime, hes only 31 you crackajack.

Age has nothing to do with prime son. Prime is when a fighter is peaked at his best see Roy Jones Jr. losing to Tarver. Rampage can fight but isn't the stud he was in pride. Rashad is not as good as Liddel either. Iceman's style is as a counter fighter, not an offensive one. He does not perform at his best otherwise. Lil evans exploited this. Chuck was outsmarted. Just like Tyson. No one who beat him was better than him. They just figured him out. Not saying Iceman is a Tyson either.

You are obviously talking about a mans testosterone peak. A fighters prime refers to when a fighter is at his best meaning in spirit, shape, experience, hunger, with minimal injuries affecting his performance. In Tysons case it was his spirit that was defeated. Theres a sort of new release DVD out where he explains this, how he wasn't into it anymore.

About evolution of the sport. It has been evolving constantly since the beginning. We seen pioneers introduce things that people were afraid to try or too uncreative to. For instance Rampage introduced the powerbomb escape from the triangle or armbar, Mirco introduced the high kick, Lidell and vochanchyn the overhand right, lidell successfully giving up his back and neutralized jujutsu without repercussions. My fave sprawl and brawl. Vitor the flurry.

Dont think Lidell exploited Vitor at all, Vitor was established before Chuck. His biggest problem is he relys on BJJ instead of wrestling, and when he fought lidell I believe that was after his sister was abducted messed up his mind and he was on a losing streak, vitor is 50/50 in performances. One of my faves now is Lyoto. For a long time the know it was said karate sux, blah, blah, now a not the greatest Karate man is the champ and beating thai boxers, lol.

Unorthodox, people dont realize that Lidell, GSP and many others were first Karate practitioners, and without that specific background I dont think they would be where they are.But I dont know everything, just been watching all my life. I thought Diego was gonna do better against Penn. But I was fooled by the hype. Penn made the good point saying who has diego fought? Rampage made the same point about Rashad who have you fought?

Tiago Silva could have won the fight, when he threw the punch at Rashad he didnt go for the tko he and he looked quite slow when tried to go for it. Also his taunting head movement made him waste a lot of time.

I seen the fight last night at Hooters. I thought Rashad was going to go in scrapping, same as Thiago. But Rashad had a fighting plan. Throw punches then wrestle him down. Gave Rashad points. But then at the 3rd round Thiago caught him with a couple of punches. Thiago would've knocked Rashad out, but he was to exhausted to finish him after him landed some haymakers on Rashad. So it went to the judges.

I dont think rashad looked weak - i think it was ring rust - he hasnt fought since machida which is a long time to be out of competition, so i think he was taking it steady and finding his flow again. rashad evans was fighting smart. u have to do what is best to win fights, not just do what the fans want. doing what the fans want will sometimes cost you the fight. all the good fighters don't cave into the fans ludacris suggestions. rashad knew he could be the aggressor and use the takedown affectively. rashad engaged him into a fist fight then went for the takedown, just like how gsp does.

rashad did a good job, but he didn't finish the fight when he had the chance to do so. i thought he had some good attempts to ground and pound him out or attempt a rare naked choke. rashad needs to work on his recovery, cause it seems when he takes a big shot it's hard for him to recover.

Rashad will be a little nervous in this fight..I think Evans will have pressure going into this fight but I still see him pulling off the win 2nd round KO. Thiago can take it just as easily though. Hazelett by Rnd 2 sub and Dos Santos Rnd 1 KO or Rnd 2 Sub
