Didn't Bernard Sumner record a version of Blue Monday for a Sunkist advert, someone held a piece of paper with $200,000 on it as an insentive (yes, I can read Wikipedia too). I don't blame them actually, they must have got a wad for this and I doubt they're rolling in it despite being world famous musicians.
I reckon having this song in the advert did the song and band a great service. I never knew this song before I saw this advert and New Order get paid a lot of money from it. And who cares anyway, Mars bars are awesome!
